Double Draft For this game you will need five
15-card booster packs or its equivalent (75 cards) for each person
playing. For this format it is recommended that you have 8 players.
Rules Players will draft all five booster
packs the same as a normal booster draft.
First pack going left, second right and so on. The extra cards will be
needed, as each player will be required to make TWO decks from their
draft pool. Each deck will have a 40-card minimum and its own
independent sideboard. Once decks are constructed, cards cannot be moved
from one deck to the other or from either sideboard. Players will play 5 duals in this
format. The first game will be each player’s “A” deck (the
player will signify which deck is which on his deck registration),
followed by a game pitting each player's "B" deck. Then
"A" will play "B" and "B" will play
"A" (winner of the coin flip at the beginning of the match
chooses both to play or draw and whether their "A" or
"B" deck will play in game 3). If a fifth game is necessary,
the opponents will choose which deck will be used for the final game.
This choice will be recorded simultaneously. Sideboard For this game you must have independent sideboards for each deck. You may remove any card from your deck and add any number of cards from your sideboard, as long as your deck still meet the deck construction guide lines. At the end of your match you must return your deck to its original form. Example: After game one you decide to take 2 cards out of your deck and add 3 cards from your sideboard. At the end of the match you must return the two cards back into your deck and remove the 3 you added before you play your next opponent. Mulligan Rules Standard
“Paris” Mulligan is used for this variant. Before each game begins, a player may, for any reason, reshuffle and redraw his hand, drawing one less card. This may be repeated as often as the player wishes, until he has no cards left in his hand. After the participant, who plays first, mulligans as often as he likes, the decision of whether to mulligan passes to the other player. Once a player passes the opportunity to mulligan, that player may not change his mind. |
