Two Player Rochester

For this game you will need six 15-card booster packs or its equivalent (90 cards).

Rules

Open the six 15-card booster packs without looking at them and shuffle them together. Set these cards in a face down pile aside.
Use a random method to determine who will draft first. The person who drafts last will get to choice of playing first or second in the first game.
Draw four cards from the pile and place them face up on the table. The player who drafts first selects one card and places it in front of him face up.
Then the second player selects two cards and places them in front of him, face up, in one pile.
Then the first player gets the remaining card and places it on top of his first pick face up.
Continue this process with players alternating who selects the first card until the deck has two cards left.
Divide the two remaining cards randomly.

Once you have completed the draft, build a 40-card minimum deck. You may add as many basic land as you would like.

Typical matches are played as the best out of three games.

Usually the winner of the match gets to keep all of the cards, but there are many different variants to this. Some examples are:

You keep what you draft.
Both players draft the rares/foils starting with the winner of the match getting first choice. The uncommons and commons go to the winner of the match.
Keep what you draft but the loser pays for the next draft.

Be sure to discuss this before you start playing to avoid arguments.

Sideboard

Your remaining cards are considered your sideboard. You may remove any card from your deck and add any number of cards from your sideboard, as long as your deck still meets the 40-card minimum guideline..

Mulligan Rules

Standard “Paris” Mulligan is used for this variant.

Before each game begins, a player may, for any reason, reshuffle and redraw his hand, drawing one less card. This may be repeated as often as the player wishes, until he has no cards left in his hand. After the participant, who plays first, mulligans as often as he likes, the decision of whether to mulligan passes to the other player. Once a player passes the opportunity to mulligan, that player may not change his mind.
