High Life with No Mana

Rules

This variant is played the same as normal Magic with the following changes:

All players start with 80 life.
You may not have any lands in your deck.
You may play spells for free, but when you play a spell or ability you lose life equal to it’s converted mana cost.
You lose 1 life when you draw a card.
Whenever a card is put into your graveyard, you may remove it from the game and gain 3 life.
You may not play more than two spells a turn.

Deck Construction

Use standard deck construction when playing this variant.

Sideboard

You can have a 15-card sideboard in Constructed and in Limited the cards you didn’t use are your sideboard

Banned & Restricted List

Banned

All “X” spells. (this includes spells like Drain Life)

When playing this variant it is usually decided what Type you will be playing. So, if you are playing Type 1, Type 1.5, Type 2, or Extended High Life with No Land then, follow that format’s Banned and Restricted List in addition to this list.

Mulligan Rules

You may not mulligan in this variant.
