Rules

Standard Magic the Gathering Rules apply.

Deck Construction

In this format, you must build a deck that is EXACTLY 56 cards and without a sideboard. The deck is structured in a way that you must use all 5 colors and artifacts in the deck. Your deck must consist of 6 cards from each color and artifacts as well as 2 of each of the ten Dual Lands (Tundra, Scrubland, etc). If you do not have 2 of each Dual Lands then you may use 4 of each basic land instead. You may not mix this, it is either 2 of each Dual Land or 4 of each basic land. The 6 cards must contain one of each converted mana cost of that color up to 6.

FOR EXAMPLE: your White section might look like:

Converted Mana cost of 1

CC of 2

3

4

5

6

Mother of Runes (W)

Disenchant (W1)

Exile (W2)

Wrath of God (WW2)

Serra Angel (WW3)

Catastrophe (WW4)

You repeat this for all 5 colors and for artifacts. Your deck must have 36 cards and 20 land for a total of 56 - no more, no less.

Sideboard

You may not have a sideboard for this variant.

Banned & Restricted List

Banned

Any card that mentions Non-Basic Lands - For example: Blood Moon or Primal Order

When playing this variant it is usually decided what type you will be playing. So if playing Type 1, Type 1.5, Type 2, or Extended Rainbow Stairwell then, follow that format’s Banned and Restricted List in addition to this list.

Mulligan Rules

Standard “Paris” Mulligan is used for this variant.

Before each game begins, a player may, for any reason, reshuffle and redraw his hand, drawing one less card. This may be repeated as often as the player wishes, until he has no cards left in his hand. After the participant, who plays first, mulligans as often as he likes, the decision of whether to mulligan passes to the other player. Once a player passes the opportunity to mulligan, that player may not change his mind.
