Argoules is a small traditional village in the Sfakia region in the south of Crete, a couple of kilometers east of Frangokastelo. It has two churches (one inside the village and one just outside on the way to the village of Skaloti) and a taverna. It is a center for birdwatchers that want to watch the different kinds of birds of prey, that are quite common in this area.
You will pass this village on the way from Frangokastelo to Plakias. There is not much going on in this village: it is quiet and sleepy and much of the population consists of sheep.
On the top of a nearby hill there is a cute small church where there are nice views over the sea and the landscape.
