Like I mentioned above, there is not much to rent in the village Psari Forada. The only accommodation I could find is Villa Irida which is on the beach and which you can also book online. There were people complaining that sometimes there was nobody at the reception for long time, but that is what you can epect in this type of small family hotels in remote villages. Therefore, when you book ask for a mobile phone number, then you avoid this kind of problem. I always do so myself. The fact that there might not continuously be hot water, or that there are minor defects in a room that is what I think should be looked at as part of the charm of a remote hotel. There are no 5-star hotels in this area. Epect no night life or a beach full of families with small children and such because people really come here for rest and relaation and just to do nothing at all ecept lie on the beach with a book, swim a bit in the sea or sit in a chair with a refreshment in your hands and look at the blue of the sea. And in the evenings of course you stare at the stars ;).
The beach is never full, and there is as good as no traffic because the only road is the road that takes to into the village and the beach. If you want to stay here then you best rent a car or if you like you take the tai. The bus goes to Mirtos (just east of Psari Forada) and from here you can also take a tai.
Villa Irida is located right in the centre of the quiet little village of Psari Forada. It is a cosy, newly built place ideal for relaing and eploring the unknown and unepected beauty of Southern Crete. The apartments are situated within a few metres from the sunny beach, so the visitors can enjoy the view of the deep blue Libyan Sea, the crystal clear water and the sandy beach. Villa Irida is a special place for people who want to escape and eplore the wonderful countryside.
