Palmarosa essential oil is extracted from Cymbopogon martini (a.k.a. Cymbopogon martinii var. martinii) from the Gramineae family. It is also called East Indian and Turkish geranium, and Indian rosha and motia.

This oil is non-irritating, non-sensitizing, non-phototoxic and non-toxic.

Palmarosa oil's therapeutic properties include  antiseptic, anti-viral, bacteriacide, cytophyllatic, digestive and febrifuge.

 

Uses

 

Palmarosa essential oil calms the mind, helps physical and nervous exhaustion, stress-related conditions, fever, intestinal infections, digestive atonia and anorexia nervosa. It is a good moisturizer for the skin and helps stimulate cell regeneration. It is effective against acne, dermatitis, minor skin infections, scarring, sore feet and athlete's foot.
