Allspice oil is extracted from Pimenta dioica (a.k.a. Pimenta officinalis) from the Myrtaceae family and is also known as Pimento oil, Jamaica pepper and Pimenta.


 

Precautions

 

Allspice oil should only be used in low dilutions, as it is found to irritate the mucus membrane and tho cause dermal irritation.

 

Uses

 

Allspice essential oil can be helpful for the digestive system, for cramps, flatulence, indigestion and nausea. It can help in cases of depression, nervous exhaustion, tension, neuralgia and stress.

A very small amount of Allspice oil can be used as a massage oil for a chest infection, severe muscle spasm or extreme cold.

In small doses it can also help with rheumatism, arthritis, stiffness, chills, congested coughs and bronchitis.

 

 Blends Well With


Geranium, Ginger, Lavender, Orange, Patchouli and Ylang Ylang.
