Description
Eucalyptus oil is extracted from Eucalyptus Globulus from the Myrtaceae family. It is also called Tasmanian blue gum or blue gum.
Precautions
Use with care in cases of hypertension and epilepsy. Excessive use may cause headaches.

Eucalpytus essential oil's therapeutic properites include analgesic, anti-neuralgic, anti-rheumatic, anti-spasmodic, balsamic, decongestant, deodorant, diuretic, expectorant, insecticide, rebefacient and stimulant.
Uses
Eucalyptus oil has a cooling and deodorizing effect on the body, helping with fevers, migraines and malaria. For the lungs, it helps coughs, asthma, sinusitis, throat infections, and catarrhal conditions. It soothes inflammation and eases mucus, clearing the head from the stuffiness of colds and allergies. It is beneficial for warming, muscular aches and pains, rheumatoid arthritis, sprains and poor circulation. It can be used on bites, stings, cuts, wounds, and skin infections. It also helps in cases of chicken pox, colds, flu and measles.
