Neroli essential oil is extracted from the flowers of Citrus aurantium var. amara (a.k.a. Citrus vulgaris and C. Bigardia) from the Rutaceae family. It is also called orange flower and Neroli bigarade.

 

Precautions

 

This oil is non-irritating, non-sensitizing, non-phototoxic and non-toxic, but do not use when mental clarity is needed for Neroli oil is very relaxing.

 

Therapeutic Properties

 

Neroli oil's therapeutic properties include anti-depressant, anti-infectious, antiseptic, carminative, digestive, sedative and tonic.

 

Uses

 

Neroli essential oil is very relaxing and can alleviate chronic anxiety, depression, fear, shock and stress. It's calming effect can be helpful to the digestive system for intestinal spasms, colitis and diarrhea.

It is useful for sleeplessness, headaches, neuralgia, vertigo, convalescence and is a good tonic.

Neroli oil assists in the regeneration of skin cells and is useful for scar tissue, stretch marks and all-around skin care.
