Lost Soul Wrestling

After leaving a very unsuccessful and uneventful experience in Atmark Wrestling Federation, Chris Cortez made his way to an old federation he knew from 30MC. For a while, like with @FW/EWF, it seemed as if LSW and 30MC were going to go to war. They never did, but with no where to turn to or go, Chris Cortez decided he'd check out LSW, along with his newly acquired manager, Syd. He was more than ecstatic and happy to find Angel there, although she was helping a wrestler named Killjoy get through some tough times by being his manager. Chris Cortez couldn't stand it, to see them together and all, but Angel assured him that she was only trying to help him and let him see the light and he should understand that. Chris Cortez let it slide but once the two became the LSW Mixed Tag Team Champions, Chris Cortez's anger grew.

Although due to other matches, feuds, and storylines Chris Cortez wasn't able to go against Killjoy mano y mano but Killjoy promised it will happen. In the mean time, Chris Cortez watched from afar and made sure that Killjoy, or anyone else in LSW for that matter, didn't do anything to his Angel. If they did, he said that they would answer to both him and whatever weapon he can get his angered hands on. In the mean time, when not looking out for Angel and waiting for his match against Killjoy, he climbed the LSW Ladder wrestler by wrestler which after a few weeks took him straight to the LSW Whatchamacallit Title. A title where the champion can decide what the stipulations are for it. Chris Cortez decided to call it the Karaoke Title, sense people critiqued his singing, with a stipulation of you have to sing to get a shot at it.

As time went on, Angel and Killjoy got closer and closer which made Chris Cortez's anger grow and grow and in result he went completely off his rocket. He challenged Killjoy to a match at the LSW's biggest PPV of the them all, Devil's Night 2, for Angel's management rights. Killjoy accepted and even added in stipulations like No DQ, No Interference, Barbwired Ropes; basically a Hardcore Match. Also, If Chris Cortez gave up his Karaoke Title, Killjoy would put his World Heavyweight Title on the line. Chris Cortez did and the match was on with the World Heavyweight Title on the line. The two trained hard for weeks as Chris Cortez was contacted by one man who could help him against Killjoy. The man was a priest by the name of Bishop Brother Blood who had feuded with Killjoy before and knew all about him, and was out of action injury due to him, and basically said Killjoy ruined his life and wanted revenge in some fashion.

However, before Chris Cortez could get trained by Bishop Brother Blood, he was murdered by an unknown killer, but Chris Cortez knew who it was - Killjoy. As much as he wanted to turn him in to the police, if he did, there would be no match and no chance to ever face him again. So, he kept quiet and with Syd he did some last minute training. All of this was in vain though, as in the end he would lose to Killjoy and lose everything he had worked for and won sense he had joined LSW. After a week in the hospital after the match, which was very vicious and insane, Chris Cortez got back on his feet and set his sights right back on Killjoy. Promising that they would and will meet again, but next time things would be different, very different.

Indeed they we're as in two weeks time, Chris Cortez went up against Morglum Neckbreaker, where the winner of the match would go on to face Killjoy the next week for his World Heavyweight Title. Chris Cortez won the match, and the next week he went on and won against Killjoy, becoming the World Heavyweight Champion! Before the match, Chris Cortez teamed up with the Beast, a rival of Killjoy, as they both wanted to see Killjoy go down. An old nemesis of both Killjoy and the Beast, Vertigo, returned and in a strange turn of events, teamed up with Killjoy to take down Chris Cortez and the Beast. Neither Vertigo or the Beast we're present in the match between Chris Cortez vs. Killjoy, so Chris Cortez won on his own accord.

At the next LSW PPV, Hallowicked, Beast squared off against Killjoy with Killjoy's career on the line and Chris Cortez squared off against Vertigo in a non-title match. Both men won their matches and at the end of the night, both we're also fired, Killjoy for losing his match and Vertigo for his bad conduct (attacking people often backstage) over the last few weeks. Chris Cortez, the Beast, and the whole LSW thought they had seen the last of Killjoy and Vertigo. On the next TRTN, however, they would be in for a big surprise.

On the next TRTN, during a non-title match with LSW newcomer Sammual "The Dark" Darkkynn, Killjoy and Vertigo came through the crowd and attacked Chris Cortez after the match, which Sammual "The Dark" Darkkynn won by DQ. Another LSW Wrestler, named Morgan Blackthorne who was mad at Killjoy came down to the ring, looking at first like he was going to help Chris Cortez who was receiving a team man beat down thanks to Killjoy and Vertigo. However, he joined them, and also beat up on Chris Cortez. When they we're done, Killjoy took the mic, and proclaimed themselves to be the UWA, the Unwanted Wrestling Alliance!

The UWA stated that they were out to destroy the LSW, because they were being denied what they believed they should have: titles, money, and game. They were mad at "rookies" and "newbies" like Chris Cortez, the Beast, and other superstars for taking the spotlight from them. Chris Cortez said they were just old men, who couldn't cut it anymore, and they had to realize that, they had to realize, that they we're nothing anymore and that their generation, the old generation of the LSW, was dead and that the current generation of the LSW, the NEW Generation, would rule from now on as it was now their time to shine and they wouldn't be held down by old foggies like them!

A full-fledged war soon began between Killjoy's UWA and Chris Cortez' New Generation, and over time, both sides quickly gained members left and right. The UWA gained such members as Vega, Dissident, and Hardcore Wreck while the New Generation gained Allen Rage and Phoenix Rising, the LSW Tag Team Champions, and Pariah and Penance of the tag team RuinNation. Both sides fought heavily for a few weeks, with the New Generation getting the upper hand most of the time. However, things began to go downhill for both sides, especially the New Generation.

In the UWA, Vertigo retired from the LSW after 2 years in action, and in the New Generation camp, Phoenix Rising died in a car accident. Leaving his tag team partner, Allen Rage, without a tag team partner. He either had to find a replacement, or forfeit the Tag Team Titles. He found a new partner in Chris Cortez and the two became a tag team with Chris Cortez picking up another title to add to his name. However, they lost the Tag Team Titles on only their second defense against UWA rivals, Killjoy and Hardcore Wreck.

More tragedy hit the New Generation camp as Pariah and Penance turned their backs on Chris Cortez and Allen Rage by attacking them and joining sides with LSW Commishioner Mordrid. Mordid started making the New Generation's, especially Chris Cortez's, life a living a hell. He had Chris Cortez defend his World Heavyweight Title every week, and each week, he was able to come out the winner. While this was going on, Killjoy defeated Goldman to become the No.1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title, and a match was set for the last PPV of 2002 in December. Chris Cortez vs. Killjoy - World Heavyweight Title "3 Stages of Hell" Match. First Fall - Normal Match, Second Fall - Hardcore Match, Third Fall - Hell in a Cell.

As the PPV came closer and closer, another match was set for the PPV, a four way elimination tag team title match. The champions, Killjoy and Hardcore Wreck, would put their titles up against Chris Cortez and Allen Rage, Tatium Michaux and Mistress Vampira and Pariah and Penance. Pariah and Penance, in one of their promos for the PPV, made a shocking announcement regarding the death of former New Generation'er Phenoix Rising. They said that his car "accident" which killed him, was no accident, as it was all planned from the start by Chris Cortez, just to get another title added to his name. Chris Cortez denied this, and his tag partner, Allen Rage, who was Phoenix Rising's tag team partner, believed him.

The PPV came, and it was Pariah and Penance who last defeated Chris Cortez and Allen Rage, to become the new Tag Team Champions. Later in the night, during the match between Chris Cortez and Killjoy, no one would win or lose, because Goldman, who lost the No.1 Contendership to Killjoy, ran into the match and attacked both Chris Cortez and Killjoy. LSW Commissioner, Mordid, said that due to Goldman's attack, the match would be postponed till the next PPV. However, the match would never come to pass, as Chris Cortez would officially announce his leave from the federation on January 28th, 2003, forfeiting his World Heavyweight Title in the process. He was never defeated for it, and thus made a new record, by holding the World Heavyweight Title the longest, 105 days.

Before he left though, he did make one shocking announcement, his announcement being that he indeed did have something to do with Phoenix Rising's death, in fact, he had everything to do with it, as It was indeed just something to add another title to his name. This angered Allen Rage, who wanted a piece of Chris Cortez, but Chris Cortez left the federation before he could fight him, as Chris Cortez said that he made Allen Rage, he carried his ass, and if they ever did square off against each other in the ring, their is no way in hell he could win against him. Allen Rage said that if he couldn't fight him in a ring, he was going to do the next best thing, fight him in court. Which is what he did as Allen Rage took Chris Cortez to court, which went on for a good week, with evidence and questions left and right for numerous witnesses and people who knew Phoenix Rising. In the end though, Chris Cortez got the last laugh, as he was found not guilty, due to lack of evidence. Chris Cortez then went and started up a World Tour for his music, as Allen Rage went on, to win the World Heavyweight Title.

Many wonder if Chris Cortez and Allen Rage will ever fight in the ring against each other, just as many wonder if we ever will see Chris Cortez and Killjoy have one more match against each other, just to break the tie of one win for each of them against the other.

Those questions would be answered a few months later when Chris Cortez made his return to LSW with one thing in mind: getting a shot at "his" LSW World Heavyweight Title that Allen Rage currently held. However, management had other feelings on the matter and more or less prevented Chris Cortez from achieving that goal. Another man having a problem with management at the time decided to team up with Chris Cortez to take on the management, and that man was none other than Chris Cortez's former nemesis; Killjoy.

Chris Cortez and Killjoy would team up a few times but ultimately things went sour between Chris Cortez and management and he was fired from the company.

Atmark Wrestling Federation

After the close of 30MC, Chris Cortez lost touch with Angel and found himself in another federation by the name of Atmark Wrestling Federation. Based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Chris Cortez found himself at the bottom of the barrel and never found himself getting any higher up the ladder. Mostly making dark match or jobber/opening matches he never really liked what was going on. He gained a new lady friend in the name of Brititney Biggums and she soon became his manager.

When @FW went to war with their rival federation EWF (Electric Wrestling Federation), Chris Cortez found himself getting more used as he and Brititney Biggums feuded with Rox and his girlfriend/manager Tess. When EWF won the war over @FW, Chris Cortez found himself out of a job and once again girl-less as Brititney went her own way in life. So, Chris Cortez once again went out on the look out again for yet another federation to go work for.

30 Minute Countdown

Making his wrestling debut, the "One Man Boyband" Chris Cortez broke into the scene by aligning himself with a group already formed within the federation. A "boyband" style group by the name of 69 Degrees. Chris figured he would help them, as they we're down on their luck at the time telling them that with his guidance in the music and wrestling world they, especially him, would be going places. That however, was far from the truth, at least the part where he said he would help THEM go places. Due to him "hogging" the spotlight from them, 69 Degrees soon broke up as the two members took sides. "Bad Boy" Corey didn't like him but Kickin' Kenny sided with him. This taking of sides would lead to Kickin' Kenny being taken out of permanent action due to "Bad Boy" Corey turning on him during a match and not helping him out.

This made Chris Cortez furious and soon a vicious rivalry would begin to boil between "Bad Boy" Corey and Chris Cortez. Each blaming each other on the demise of 69 Degrees. Although, in the end, "Bad Boy" Corey and Chris Cortez never faced off but did cost him plenty of match against another big stable in 30MC, Pretty in Pink. A stable made up of over flamboyant men and women who we're out to un-straighten everyone's arrows and make them join their way of life. Fellow female 30MC Angel was against them and their wishes and so was Chris Cortez who kept getting bothered by them to join them. So, Chris Cortez and Angel teamed up both in the ring and out to try and stop them.

Although the federation closed and that huge feud was never settled Chris Cortez got plenty out of the whole experience. He got his start, he got to work on his in ring skills and mic skills and even got himself a girl.
