[Scene: We open up in the backstage area of Wimbley Stadium, where tonight it will hold the LSW's yearly event of Devil's Night 2. LSW Employees run around getting things ready, checking the lights, setting up the stage and the ring. Wrestlers start to show up on the scene as well, as most of them go straight to their locker rooms, some are getting interviewed and others are going over their matches with each other. From one of the doors heading into the backstage area of the stadium the camera turns to see Chris Cortez along with his manager Syd run in.]

Syd: Keep it up! Keep those knees up!

[Chris Cortez pumps his legs as he runs in place a bit. The camera man walks over to get a better shot as Syd continues to bark orders at him.]

Syd: Now, drop down and give me 50, no, make it 100!

Chris Cortez: Right, on it!

[Chris Cortez gets down and starts doing push ups]

Syd: No! Not regular push ups! Give your self a round of applause!

[Chris Cortez looks up at Syd with a questioning look]

Chris Cortez: Huh?

Syd: Do some clapping pushups!

Chris Cortez: Oh, right-o

[Chris Cortez proceeds to do so as Syd then turns and sees the camera.]

Syd: What? What do you want? Can you not see that my client is working out and training some more for his match later on tonight? Can you not see that?! Leave us be! He needs his space! He-

Chris Cortez: It fine, Syd. I need to say a few more words while Im at it. You just keep counting.

[Chris Cortez keeps up with his clapping pushups as Syd counts them silently]

Chris Cortez: No matter what I do, or what I say, it seems that Killjoy will forever look down on me.

[Chris Cortez just smiles as he keeps on doing his push ups, going a bit faster now.]

Chris Cortez: Well, I think he should wake up and see the truth in front of his own eyes. I think its time I gave him his own little wake up call among the likes of the ones that he has giving me. Indeed, this match will be that wake up call. Not only to you, Killjoy, no. It will be the whole entire federation's wake up call.

[Chris Cortez fastens the pace on his push ups now]

Chris Cortez: I am considered a joke by all. Looked down upon by many. Well, I am no joke. I am not to be taken lightly or looked down upon. Those who have and those who still do will come to know the error of their ways. I will prove to all of them that I am indeed no joke. This match, this match of a lifetime, is my trial. My trial to prove to everyone that I am indeed no, joke.

Syd: Ok, that's 100

[Chris Cortez gets up and looks back into the camera]

Chris Cortez: Killjoy, laugh all you want about me, laugh it up. For you see, In the end, It will be ME who gets the last laugh in all of this. I will laugh in you and everyone else's faces as I prove them and you are wrong. You all walk all over me, looking down at me as If Im nothing. Oh, I am something all right. Something special. Damnit, I AM! Its obvious that neither you or the rest of the people around that even come close to getting that. After tonight though, you will. Oh yes, you will.

[Chris Cortez smiles as he starts to jog in place again]

Chris Cortez: Mark my words, after tonight, EVERYONE, will know my name. They will know who I am and that I am indeed something special. After tonight, no one will be looking down at me, ever again.

[Chris Cortez puts emphasis on "ever again" as he starts to jog towards the locker room areas with Syd in tow. The camera watch them disappear down the hallway as the camera shutsoff and the scene fades to black.]
