[Scene: The camera moves along backstage as LSW Employees walk around going about thier duty as do the wrestlers. The camera walks casually into Chris Cortez' VIP Locker Room, only to find him not there. Puzzled, the camera walks out and begins to roam the halls looking in doorways and such as if he's looking for him. Suddenly the camera finds him, alone, inside the backstage eating area. He isnt eating, drinking or doing anything specific, he's just sittting there and looking down as if in deep thought.
The camera walks in as Chris Cortez looks up at it and just simply nods as he motions for the camera man to take a sit across from him. Chris Cortez just sits there motionless for a moment but then takes a deep breath and begins to talk.]
Chris Cortez: You know, many people think that Im really a big pompous ass who only cares about himself, and very highly about himself over all. Well, that might be so when those cameras are on, but when they are off, Im no longer that. I am no longer a big ego-ed fool who only cares about himself. I am no longer the "One Man Boyband" Chris Cortez. No. When the cameras shut off, I am simply just Chris Cortez
[Chris Cortez sighs again as he collects his thoughts and then continues]
Chris Cortez: A man like every other person in this company. I, like them, am an entertainer. My job is to entertain the fans of the LSW, no matter how much they might hate me, or that is too say, my character. While all of us in this business have our "characters" and "gimmicks" that set us apart; there is one thing we all have in common. That, is that we all are entertainers, we entertain people, that is what we do. Some of us make people boo, some of us make people cheer, but no matter what, in the end, we are entertaining them. That is our job, that is our life, that is what we do.
[Chris Cortez sighs again as he looks over at a calender]
Chris Cortez: As I look at the calendar, I notice that one certain date sticks out amongst all of them. September 11th. Now, I don't need to go into what it all means or the events behind it. We all lived it, we all experienced it, and no matter where you live or how you feel about it, you will never forget it. Especially if you are an American. Come that date, we'll all look back on one year ago. We'll remember it and we'll relive it in our minds, over and over. Some of us will cry, some of us will break down and some of us will try to hide our emotions from our fellow man for whatever reasons.
[Chris Cortez stops and sighs once more as he collects his thoughts]
Chris Cortez: As entertainers, as wrestlers, that is what we do: we entertain. We are here to make your day better. You could come home from a shitty day at work, your girlfriend could have dumped you, you could have lost your job, whatever. At least you know, that you can always count on people like us, to entertain you and lift your spirits up off the ground. Which is just what we are going to do on September 11th, at our Remembrance show.
I am very honored to have been included in the main event and I look forward to working with all the people in the match. I can assure you, that as an entertainer, I will help make this match the best that it can be so that you get your money worth. That's not just a promise from me, but a promise from everybody. Not just as wrestlers or entertainers. But, as both fellow Americans and also fellow members of man-and women-kind all around the world. Thank You.
[The camera turns off and fades to black as Chris Cortez sighs and gets up, heading out the door to leave]
