The Dragon Guard is the only place in the game where you can actually make your own weapons instead of slaughtering monsters at various locations. With the exception of the Mythril Helm, all of the weapons that are manufactured at the Dragon Guard are often sought after by players. The most popular weapons and armour include the Dragon Scale Jacket and Swift Boots/Crystal Swift Boots.

Mythril Helm

Normally associated with Glow, the Mythril Helm is basically a more durable version of the Miners Cap that subtracts more skill. Of course, defense can be more important than skill in many ways. This is a nice helmet to have if your character isn't strong enough to quest in Hie Brasil yet and you happen to have the necessary materials to complete the Mysterious Goblin Armour mission. Be sure to bring it with you to the Dungeons, but not to the Docks.

Jaguar Mantle

Occupying both your Head and Body slots, the Jaguar Mantle is probably the weirdest armour that exists in the game. In addition to providing your character with a high amount of defense and a nice amount of skill, the Jaguar Mantle has the potential to provide even better stats than a Spiked Helm/Dragon Scale Jacket combination.

Dragon Scale Jacket

The Dragon Scale Jacket provides the most amount of defense points out of any body armour in the game, and it isn't too hard to acquire the materials necessary to complete the Tears of a Dragon mission if you do a little trading with others at the Trading Post. A majority of the Dragon Scale Jackets that are crafted don't provide much more than 104 defense points, but it's still enough defense to make them more durable than most Koutetsus that are dropped by Samurais. They also don't provide any attack points, but it isn't a big deal because you're usually interested in defense when you're taking body armaments into consideration.

Swift Boots

Providing more defense and less skill than a regular pair of Sea Slippers, Swift Boots are nice footwear for your character if he or she isn't strong enough to quest in the Docks. Many players will receive a pair of these boots through completion of the Noble Trophies mission, but those who are having a lucky day will get their hands on the crystal variant of these boots instead.

Titan Blade

The Titan Blade is a respectable two-handed weapon, but similar to other two-handed weapons, the Titan Blade isn't a popular weapon among many players in the game. Since a Jaguar Fang and a Nunchaku is required to manufacture this weapon, you've most likely found a plethora of Matchlock Rifles that provide better attack and skill than this blade. But if it's your lucky day, you'll get your hands on the silver variant of this blade instead through completion of The Titan Blade mission.
