#239 at IMDB, #196 on Flickchart ad 96% on the Tomatometer.  And I dropped it to #8 behind Silece of the Lambs.  High Noon.  Still pulls.  Still something new to be found.  Grace Kelly is still beautifull.  Katy Jurado is still hot-blodded.  Lloyd Bridges is still hot-headed.  The supporting cast (Thomas Mitchell, Lon Chaney Jr, Frank Morgan) are all still outstanding.  Lee Van Cleef is still menacing.  Tex Ritter singing the theme song throughout the movie is a bit corny but still spot on.  And the story is told in real time.  Some say it's an alegory for McCarthyism and that may be the case but to claim so is to miss the point.  It was PRO McCarthy.   Frank Miller WAS coming to tow to kill.  The left DID stick it's head in the sand and refuse to help, so the message may not be the one many on the left THOUGHT it was.

 Still watchable.  If you haven't seen it i a while grab the popcorn.
