Day 24
Monday July 15, 2013
Today is always a bummer. It's the last day of the trip. We started off the day with in room breakfast to finish up eating some of the foods we still had up here with a quick trip to the deli for juice and coffee.

We puttered around the room for a while and then got ready to go out. We headed over to the Gold Coast to meet up with our friend Gary. On the way we stopped at the LVH super book to pick up some football bets for some of my coworkers. We were going to have lunch with him at the Noodle Exchange which has sort of become a tradition. Me and Dee both ordered our standard lunch special. She broke out of the mold and got beef and broccoli and I got the lemon chicken again. Those came with an egg roll, egg drop soup and fried rice.

We left the Gold Coast and came back here to Sam's Town with a quick stop in Henderson to pick up our laundry. There's nothing better than having a suitcase full of clean clothes when we get home!

I decided today would be the day that I hit the Pinball Hall of Fame for a few hours since I hadn't made it here yet. I always try to make it here every trip because it's a really fun time and your money can last a long time! Dee stayed back here at the hotel and got caught up with her e-mails and read her book while I was gone. I spent a few hours here playing some classic games including a basketball game that was featured on American Restorations. I was disappointed that it wasn't working properly but at least I'm still able to say I played it.

When I got back to Sam's Dee was ready to eat so for dinner we hit the deli again. The special there for the second half of the month was spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread. As has been noted a number of times in the report, this is Dee's favorite meal. I ordered the french dip sandwich. I thought my sandwich sucked because they used a deli roast beef and it was very salty, almost beef jerky like. Dee said her meal was excellent, especially for a spaghetti dinner that comes on a Styrofoam plate! Dee also got one last piece of carrot cake and I got chocolate cake. This was actually the highlight of my meal! Another case of employees not having a clue took place while we were in line ordering. The lady ahead of us ordered a BLT. After the cashier rang it up she then asked the lady if she wanted lettuce and tomato on it. I busted out laughing and Dee looked at me funny but I'm sorry. If she didn't want lettuce and tomato I think she would have just ordered an effing bacon sandwich instead of a BLT.

After dinner it was one last stab at the progressive video poker bank. I hit a few quads right away but that would be it for the whole session. Dee dropped a bill in short order but then tried a second one. She started hitting quads and actually got the meter up over $200. She eventually cashed out at $150 with just a $50 loss. I couldn't seem to hit anything better than 3 of a kind and in the end dropped $200.

We came to the room and started packing to tomorrow's trip. This really sucked!

Total win/loss for the day -$250
Total Comps for the day $90
