Day 21
Friday July 12, 2013
Up today and I ran down to the deli to fetch coffee and juice to go with the muffins I picked up yesterday. Then we got ready to roll for the day.
The upstairs progressive bank was full so we found a bank of quarter multi-game progressives that had 8/5 bonus. This worked out to be a good session with plenty of quads including Dee getting dealt deuces. I cashed out with a $50 win and Dee made out with $150 for a nice $200 win for us.
It was lunch time now so we went over to the deli. Dee had chili and I had a chicken salad sandwich. Dee loves the chili here and the chicken salad was pretty good too.
After lunch it was back to the same machines we played earlier. This session was even better than the last. We were both hitting plenty of quads and we both hit aces twice for a total of 4 sets. This was on top of the various other quads we hit. We cashed out this session with a $400 victory and headed up to the room to take a short break.
After the break it was back to the same machines again. This time things weren't as good. We did get to play for quite a while but I only hit one quad and Dee wasn't even that lucky. We dropped 2 bills of the 6 we were up this time.
We moved to a different bank and tried our luck at half dollars. Dee hovered as usual while I bled quite a bit. Even my hail Mary play wasn't helping me out over here. Dee on the other hand hit another set of aces so I popped in another bill. It was more of the same for me as Dee hovered and hovered around even before popping her 4th set of aces for the day. She ended up winning $300 for the session and I dropped that much so not a bad outcome considering I was getting pounded.
Dee wanted to play triple play so we went to the downgraded bank and played 8/6 jacks with 130 for quads. I was dealt quad 3's and hit multiple other quads as well as a straight flush. Dee hit her fair share of quads as well and she also hit a straight flush. We cashed out this session with Dee winning $51.25 and me winning $1.25 as she once again carried us.
We came up here to the room and that's where we are right now. We're getting ready to go have dinner. Even though I hate eating Friday's on vacation, that's where we decided to go. I ordered the Jack Daniels burger and Dee ordered the Chicken Florentine. We also split a fried green bean appetizer. Everything was fine but again, it's Friday's food. I really hope Boyd sees the light like Stations did and brings back cafes here and at Gold Coast.
After dinner we ran over to Calamity Jane's for some ice cream and then took one more stab at the machines. We went back to the same bank we played at during the day. Things were up and down at first but then Dee hit her 5th set of aces for the day and never looked back. My meter was up and down and I was at a low point in the teens before popping quad threes and hovering for a while. A few more quads kept me going and got my meter back up. All the while Dee was hitting enough stuff to keep plugging along too. Finally after about 3 hours straight I cashed out even and Dee cashed out with another $100 profit.
The final move for the evening was to run my free play through and cash out anything left over. I chose to play $1 jacks or better in the high limits room. Thanks to a full house and a bunch of 2 pair hands, I cashed the machine out after 20 hands with $110 on the meter. As far as gaming goes it's tough to quit for the day. Hopefully tomorrow will be as good as today was.
Total win/loss for the day $650
Total Comps for the day $264
