Day 14
Friday July 5, 2013
We slept in today after a late night last night and got a late start. We went to the Triple 7 for lunch. Dee got a cheeseburger and I got my favorite filet sandwich. They've changed this since the last time we were here. It's now a filet steak instead of filet mignon. I ordered it medium rare but it was medium well at best. It was still good though and we were both filled up when we were done.
Next up was a return to the machines. Dee dubbed this a jackpot day. After the last 2 days I was willing to let her call it whatever she wanted! She wasn't far off for this session. While we didn't hit a royal I hit 3 sets of aces and got dealt a bonus quad along with numerous other quads and a straight flush. Dee hit a ton of bonus quads and also got dealt a bonus quad. We finished off this session with 24 scratch cards and a $500 win on top of it after running over 8k through the machines for this session.
We were heading back to the room to take a break and I stopped off at the slot club booth. Host Ipo was there and I had her book our next reservation for the fall when we return back to town for our next adventure. She also activated my $75 in free play that came with my mailer.
We spent a while in the room watching a little TV and then wen to dinner. We chose the Market Street Cafe over at the Cal again. Dee got the spaghetti and meat sauce again and I got the prime rib special. Dee's portion was larger than it was yesterday and that made her happy. My prime rib was also very good. I only wished there was more on the plate!
When we were done eating it was back to the video poker machines again. Things were good this session but not quite as good as before. I did score another set of aces but we eventually lost $200 between us for the session.
Before we packed it in for the night we stopped at the 50¢ progressives to run free play through. Things went well here and I ran it up to $120. I decided to run it down to $100 and hit a straight flush on an inside draw and quite a few full houses. I cashed out with the meter at $250 which offset the losses from earlier.
One last stop was to the cage to cash in the 38 scratch cards we got. One of them was for $5, 3 for $3 and the rest were $2. The same thing happened tonight as last night with the cashier signing all 38 cards, then sorting them, then marking them paid, then finally paying them. This is practice that needs to stop and I will let them know how I feel about it in one of their surveys.
Total win/loss for the day $550
Total Comps for the day $260
