Day 20
Thursday July 11, 2013
We got up early this morning to start packing our things for today's move. We also wanted to hit the pool one last time before we checked out but the weather was kind of iffy this morning. Really windy, overcast, and when I walked out earlier, very humid (for Vegas standards). Instead we opted for the gym for a quick workout.

When we were done with the workout we came back to the room, got cleaned up and then packed the rest of our stuff before heading out .

Our first stop was to the bank to redeposit the money I pulled out the other day thanks to Dee's good job yesterday. A quick stop at Jack in the box for some lunch and a few other stops to pick up a few more survival items.

It was now time to head to our next hotel. Today 's move will be the final move of the trip and it's to Sam's town. This was booked through an offer of 5 nights, $100 free play, and a gold card which is essentially RFB at any of the Sam's Town owned restaurants.

Checking in went well and we were assigned room 701. This is a handicap room with queen beds, a nightstand, dresser, 32 inch TV, arm chair, work desk and a view of Boulder Highway, The Strip and Downtown. The bathroom is handicap equipped with a roll in shower and safety bars.

Once we were unpacked and settled into the room it was off to the casino. Since our last visit they downgraded the paytable on the triple play bank that we used to like to play that had individual progressives for the royal flush on each line. Now we were forced to play single line quarters and halves. We started off with the progressive bank with 9/6 jacks or better. I jumped ahead with a bunch of quads and Dee steadily grew her credit meter. Things turned for me though and my credits started to disappear. Dee continued to grow hers. We quit with me being down $50 and her being up $150. I don't know what it is with her and quarter jacks or better but she always wins big amounts like this.

We took a break for dinner at the Deli. I got a cheese steak and chips, Dee got a classic hoagie with potato salad. When the food was done my chips magically turned into French fries. That was fine though because there were way more and they were really good.

We went back to the video poker machines again and this time tried out our luck on the 50 centers. I got off to a great start hitting a set of quad queens. Then on the very next hand hit quad sevens. Dee was on fire hitting lots of quads and a straight flush. Later on she got another straight flush dealt to her. I ended up down $100 and she was up $200 when we quit.

Now we needed a snack and we hit Calamity Jane's for some ice cream before heading back to the video poker machines. Nothing good happened here and neither of us hit a quad this session and we both lost $100 in short order.

We decided since it was getting late and we were even for the day it would be a good time to hit the room and wind down for the evening.

Total win/loss for the day $0
Total Comps for the day $59
