Day 15
Saturday July 6, 2013
We were up early today because Dee wanted to go to the Fremont buffet. For some reason she likes it here even thought the buffet is mediocre at best. Today was their champagne brunch and with that comes a $13 per person price tag. The foods were fine today and we left full.

I had to run to the bathroom so Dee played a penny slot while I took care of business. When I returned she'd turned $5 into over $15 for a nice triple up!

We came back over here to Main Street Station and what else? Of course we hit the video poker machines. This didn’t work out well and was similar to a few days ago. We played for only about 30 minutes with Dee losing 2 bills. I lost only $50 thanks to a few quads.

Even though it was only about 10:30 we came up to take a break. I ended up taking a 2 hour nap and Dee is still sleeping right now. I guess neither of us slept well last night combined with a large amount of food from the buffet.

We finally got it together and hit the casino again. This time things were just as bad as this morning. Dee can't seem to hit any quads and when she does it disappears quickly. She lost again and I broke even.

Since we couldn't hit much at VP we went to an early dinner at the Market Street Cafe over at the California. Dee got a tuna salad sandwich with French fries and I got the pork chop dinner. Dee's sandwich was fine because, how can you really eff up tuna salad. My chops were OK, but not great.

When we were done eating we took a break from triple/five play and opted for 8/5 bonus 50¢ progressive. I scored a few quads but ended up losing $100 and Dee, who was still on a quad drought dropped 3 more bills. This day is quickly going to hell!

We took one more shot at the machines, this time quarter single line. I tried my luck at loose deuces. I had to play really slow because I haven't played many deuces and to prevent myself from holding lone high cards. Nothing was happening here, deuces were on vacation and I only hit one wild royal. I switched to double-double bonus for a while and scored a standard quad. Dee was doing well at this time too and finally started hitting quads. I kept pounding away at double-double and landed quad deuces. I was happy with the $100 hit but if it had only landed 10 minutes earlier it would have been worth $625. I switched to bonus to preserve some of the credits and immediately hit quad aces. Ugh, right hand, wrong game, again. Dee had a few more quads while we wound down the session. She actually cashed out a $50 win and I cashed out even.

For a late night snack we hit the California Snack Bar. We both ordered a bowl of Saimen noodle soup and split an order of egg rolls along with some Kit Kats!

Before we went to the room I stopped at the cage and cashed in our scratch cards for the day. We had 21 of them with 1 @ $3 and 20 @ $2 for a total of $43.

Total win/loss for the day -$750
Total Comps for the day $176
