Day 6
Thursday June 27, 2013
Today we all met up around 9:30. We started off with a quick breakfast at McDonald's. Me and Dee both got the oatmeal with fruit which was actually very tasty.
Once we were all fed we went out for some shopping over to Bullhead City. We were disappointed to see that Beall's was going to be closing this store. We were in and out quickly since they didn't have much inventory left and hit Big Lots for some snacks and drinks then stopped off at Safeway for a few more items we couldn't get there.
We came back to the hotel and took a break up in the room and had a light lunch with some of the foods we had bought at the grocery store. After we ate we both ended up napping for a while. Dee wasn't feeling the greatest and took a longer nap. I headed up to Harrah's. I have a reservation here for 2 nights even though we don't need the room. The main reason for booking the room was because I scheduled a massage at the spa for tomorrow morning and wanted to have a place to throw my stuff in and relax in afterward. We'll also make use of the pool here and possibly play a bit.
I used the diamond check in area and was quickly on my way to room 10205. This is a handicap room with 2 beds nightstands, dresser, 32 inch flat screen TV and a view of the casino entrance. The bathroom is standard size with safety bars. Once I was checked in I scouted out the video poker machines and then left.
I came back to the Aquarius and Dee was ready to go so we hit the VP machines. Dee carried us this session hitting 2 sets of aces. I got dealt quad 8's but that was about all I was able to get. We actually cashed out even for the session which is fine, but not a great result considering the dealt quad and 2 sets of aces.
At 6:45 we met back up with everyone. Tonight we have dinner plans at the Vineyard. We've been wanting to try this place out for sometime but things never seemed to line up with that in the past. This time we made a plan and stuck to it! This place offers higher end Italian food with a pretty nice menu. Dee got the stuffed rigatoni and I had the pine nut crusted chicken that also comes with pasta. Dee also ordered mushrooms casino as an appetizer. The meal also came with salad or minestrone. Dee had the salad and I had the soup. I'm not a huge fan of minestrone but this was one of the better versions I've had. We all got dessert at the end as if we hadn't eaten enough at this point. I had a raspberry chocolate cake and Dee had apple crumb pie with ice cream. In total 4 of us ate with drinks and dessert for $145.
We split up after dinner and me and Dee hit the video poker machines again. Dee held her own as always and finished her session even. I was the bankroll killer this session and other than just one quad didn't hit much of anything and dropped $200.
It's getting late now so we are going to watch some TV and call it a night.
Total win/loss for the day -$200
Total Comps for the day $276
