Day 9
Sunday June 30, 2013
Today we got up early and hit the pool before the masses got up. We stayed down there for a while and then came to the room to get cleaned up and ready for breakfast.
For breakfast we went to the buffet. We had VIP passes to the buffet today (and yesterday but forgot to use them). You go to the same buffet but get to sit in a special section with tablecloths and cloth napkins. There's also a smaller mini buffet section with fresh fruit, lox and pastries that only those in the VIP section get. Other than those items it's no different than the regular buffet, except it's free!
After breakfast we both came up here and slipped into food comas from eating so much at the buffet. Around 3 we finally got up and started the day again.
Now it was time to hit the VP machines again. We started off with triple play. Dee was doing well and I was getting killed. She actually scored 2 straight flushes and more than her fair share of quads. I eventually leveled off and in the end we only lost about $80.
We met back up with the cousins for a light dinner. We went to The Cove at the back of the casino. They offer appetizer type foods and drinks here. I had a couple of passes each worth 1 appetizer and 2 drinks and after this morning's buffet this was all we needed for a meal. We ordered up a couple of pizzas and each had a drink.
It was back to video poker after we ate and things were the same for me, again, getting low paired to death and just not hitting any quads. I did eventually pop aces 2 different times and that got me back into it. Dee hovered as she always does. We cashed out with a small loss and took a short break.
We went back to video poker after the break and Dee continued to do well hitting 3 sets of aces. However, I was losing at a faster rate than she was winning. We cashed out the session down yet again and tonight's loss brought us back to being even for the trip.
When we cashed out I somehow ended up with a 50¢ ticket so I popped it into a penny slot. Things were going well and I turned it into $7. For the next hour we machine hopped before we finally lost that original fifty cents. It was close to midnight so it was time to pack things in for the night.
Total win/loss for the day -$550
Total Comps for the day $210
