Day 7

This morning we were up early and got ready for the day. We had plans to meet up with the cousins and head up to Harrah's.
I had a massage scheduled and the cousins are going to go to the pool while that happens. Dee chose to stay up in the room and read her book. My appointment was for 10am. I've never had a massage before so this was an experience. I got the deep tissue massage and this girl beat the crap out of me! I was told by others that in a day or 2 I'd feel great. We shall see.
When my massage was done I met up with the cousins at the pool where I roasted myself. If only someone had a turkey baster to keep me moist!
We decided it was time for lunch so went up to the room to get Dee and then back down to the Beach Cafe. I got the Chicken Cordon Blue that came with soup (split pea today) vegetables and choice of potato. I got baked like my skin was from the pool. Dee got a turkey club wrap. Dee said hers was good. Mine was OK but, a few of the items tasted a bit old.
The cousins wanted to stay at Harrah's because they enjoyed the pool more than the pool here. I told them I'd pick them up around 7pm. Me and Dee came back to the Aquarius and hit the gym. It's been a few days since Dee got enough therapy so we're going to get her some today.
When we were done with at the gym we came back up here to the room and got cleaned up and then it was off to the VP machines. I started off well with a few dealt full houses. Dee was up and down and then hovered for a while but needed to reload. I never went below my first bet and kept plugging away. Every few hands I always glance over and Dee and see how she's doing and she kept hovering. During this time she also scored quad aces twice. Then I hear her yelp. I look over expecting quad aces again and I see a royal flush on line 4! I kept my meter slowly growing and then she yelps again. No, it wasn't another royal but, it was dealt quad fours for another $250 hit. We continued to play for a while and I had grown my meter up to $300 for a $200 profit thanks to quite a few dealt winners and quads. Dee was just about even so we cashed out to take a break and protect some of the winnings.
It was getting about time to go get the cousins so I left and ran up to Harrah's while Dee rested in the room. They were ready and waiting and I brought them back here to the Aquarius. We decided to go across the street to the outlet mall for a while and met up in the hotel lobby. Of course when we got over there they said they were closing in 12 minutes. WTF is up with that? A mall closing at 8pm on a weekend?
We came back over here and went into the splash Caberet and listened to a band called Rockin' Mockers. They played covers from the 50's to present in rock, pop, country and blues. They were pretty good but they need a new sound guy who just couldn't seem to get it right and they had a lot of feedback.
We hung out there for about 2 hours and then grabbed a late dinner at Cafe Aquarius. Dee got the classic breakfast of 2 eggs, bacon, toast and breakfast potatoes. I got the Sign of the Zodiac soup which is noodles, bok choy, shrimp, scallops, chicken and pork in a chicken broth. I asked for no seafood and extra pork and they did that for me.
The cousins went to their room after we ate and me and Dee went back to the video poker machines. The triple plays we like we taken so we opted for single line jacks or better for halves. Dee was getting beat up so switched to quarters. I was hovering for a change but did dip down to just $20 on the meter so I switched to double-double bonus. I got lucky and scored quad 7's and switched back to jacks. I continued to hover even getting ahead by about a hundred but 2 hours in ended up losing. Dee had a great comeback once she switched to quarters winning back $175 of the $200 she'd lost playing halves. Between us we lost about $125 this session which wasn't too bad considering we played for close to 2 hours.
Right now it's after 1am and we're going to bed. Goodnight!
