Day 11
Tuesday July 2, 2013
This morning I started off with a walk over to the Rio to grab my free show tickets for the month. I wanted to get Penn & Teller tickets to give to the cousins but the lady wasn't sure if there were any available and the box office didn't open until 10am so I came back over here to the Gold Coast.

On the way back I grabbed us a light breakfast from Java Coast of coffee, tea, pastry and fruit.

We took a trip to the pool and gym for a while and baked ourselves a little bit more. While we were out there for lunch I ran to the hot dog cart in the sportsbook and grabbed some hotdogs for everyone. This was good enough to hold us over until dinner.

Once we were baked and came back to the room I ran back over to the Rio and got the tickets for Penn and Teller. All they had left were balcony seats that were together but the girl at the box office was able to get me lower level in the center section with 2 seats back to back on the aisle.

It was time to play some video poker now so we hit the triple play machines. Not much happened here but Dee hit a few quads to get ahead while I dropped bit. After her last quad we were actually even between us so we quit as the cousins arrived.

For dinner we went over to the Rio and the All American Bar & Grill. When I looked at the menu I remembered why I like the locals places and not a strip(like) properties. With $7 side salads and $8 bowls of soup, I can get a full meal at the Gold Coast for less than that! I ordered a rib eye with baked potato and Dee got fish and chips. The foods were very good but still not worth the price they charge at this place. The bill for the 4 of us with 2 iced teas and no alcohol was $116. We actually ate in a high end restaurant last week in Laughlin, with drinks for $145. I used comps to cover the cost of the tab.

When we were done eating the cousins went off to the show and me and Dee found some of the few playable video poker machines here for dollars. We started off well not winning and not losing. I even ran my meter up to $200 but then it was like someone flipped a switch on us and we lost and lost quickly. I ended up putting in another bill and that went quickly as well. Between us we dropped $300 and neither of us hit a quad in almost 5k in action.

I was a few points short of hitting the next tier bonus so we took a twenty and machine hopped the penny slots. By the time we were done I had the points I needed and an extra $18. We also ran 1 point onto Dee's card to keep her points active.

We came back over here to the Gold Coast and I activated my $50 in free play then, we hit the triple and five play machines again. We were doing well getting good play but it was streaky tonight. As always when I got down to my last $20 I went for the double-double hail Mary. I scored with quad 4's to get back into it. Things were still streaky and between us lost $300.

I decided to run my free play through the Family Guy slots again and Dee took a twenty and played the one next to me. She was hitting lots of bonus rounds but couldn't score big on any of them. I finally hit a bonus round for over $54. Once my free play was run through and Dee's $20 was gone we cashed out for $79.

It is now after 1am and I have to be up early so goodnight everybody.

Total win/loss for the day -$550
Total Comps for the day $484
