Day 12
Up early today and down to the Pyramid Café to meet Yahtzee Mike for breakfast. I still had about $40 in credits left so we tried to burn them up before check out. I had the corned beef hash and eggs. The food was good, as it has been the entire stay here.
Well even though I hate to do it, it is time to move out of this giant suite today. I liked being in this suite but this tower is a really long walk to the rest of the property. If by some chance I get another offer (and I’m doubtful) I’d rather be in the Pyramid.
Since it was a little early to check in me and Mike went down to the Pinball Hall of Fame. This was my third trip here already and I never stop having fun here. We played here for almost 4 hours and I only spent $5. After playing all afternoon we headed back up to the strip and I dropped Mike off at Paris where he’s staying for the rest of the trip.
Today’s move is to Caesars Palace. This is another advantage to the Harrah*s – Caesars Merger. Like with the Paris reservation I plugged in 5 nights on the website and they all came up comped so I reserved a premier room, the highest level of room the site would allow. They wanted $800 a night for a suite when I booked. I don’t think so! It’s been about 6 years since I’ve stayed or played at Caesars Palace and I am looking forward to staying here again.
I checked in at the diamond area and was given room 4458 in the Augustus Tower. The room is huge with 2 queen beds, a small sitting area with a couch, armchair and coffee table. There is also a small dining area and the view is of the Bellagio and every thing else from Bally’s south as far as you can see.
The bathroom is huge with a glass shower on the right when you walk in and a deep tub with whirlpool jets. The vanity area is large with dual sinks, make up mirror, hair dryer, and a small LCD TV on the wall. The toilet is in it’s own little room with a telephone.
After I got my bags delivered to the room I unpacked some of my stuff and went down to the diamond lounge for something to eat. They had the standard diamond lounge items of sandwich wraps, cheese & crackers, and desserts. The hot foods were chicken fingers, chicken wings, & those little shish ka bobs. While I was in the lounge Yahtzee Mike walked in. We ate and checked e-mail before heading over to Bally’s. Mike got some play in on VP and I went over to Paris to see if Ned the dealer was working. He was dealing Caribbean Stud and a few other carnival games because he was the breaker tonight.
After being at Bally’s and Paris we both walked down to Harrah’s stopping at each property on the way checking things out. Flamingo has a pit of 6-5 blackjack games with hot female dealers dressed in revealing pink outfits that was just packed. Harrah’s has a similar pit out in the Carnival Court. When we got to Harrah’s we checked out the dueling pianos for a few minutes then went back to registration to see Carol for a few minutes.
On the way back we stopped into the Imperial Palace. Most blackjack here is now the dealertainer 6-5 crap. There were very few regular blackjack games here. When we got back to Barbary Coast we both went back to our own hotels.
I of course had to fill up the Jacuzzi tub even though I was tired. Why did I have to? Because I could! Finally hit the bed at 2am and made it through a day without gambling!
