Day 5
Sunday July 2, 2006

Up at 11am to start a new day. This day was started with lunch in the Paris diamond lounge again with the standard diamond lounge foods.

After lunch I played some triple play 8/5 bonus over at Bally’s and was joined by Rich and Dan again. I played for about 2 hours and cashed out even. It was a roller coaster ride and I even hit aces and still finished only even. I was actually as high as $225 on the meter and as low as my last bet at $3.75. A few quads and dealt winners to me back even and I cashed out and ran!

The game plan today was to hit the Harrah’s promotion for food vouchers on the last day. The 3 of us ran to various properties to get stamps on our cards and collect food vouchers for myself. There was a little abuse here and between that and the Flamingo being out of $10 vouchers and giving $20 vouchers instead I ended up with $60 in food coupons. Gee, you think this is why they ended the food voucher part of the promotion early?

With a final stop at Caesars Palace we all hit the diamond lounge where we parked our asses for over 3 hours. We had more standard diamond lounge foods (although we were there for the hot foods tonight which were chicken wings and shish-ka-bobs, having drinks, watching the Yankee’s beat the hell out of the Mets and having desserts we finally left.

Next stop was back over to Bally’s where Dawn made us reservation to have dinner at the Bally’s Steak House for tomorrow night. Rich and Dawn left after this and I came up here to the room to take a break for a while since I’ve been on the go non-stop for the last 10 hours.

After my break it was time for a little more video poker so I went back to Bally’s and tried my luck on the triple plays again. Instead I tried the five plays though. Things were ok here but they were very streaky tonight. How streaky were they? So streaky that in my session I hit aces 5 times along with various other quads and still only finished the session up $1. I did get quite a bit of play during this time though so I was content with my dollar win!

I walked down to Harrah’s after playing to check out the dueling pianos. These guys were pretty entertaining and could play! While Here I also stopped by the front desk and saw CarolWILV and we met up by the pianos for a quick mini meet during her break.

After the show was over I stopped up at Barbary Coast for a late night meal. I went with their Wor Won Ton Soup. It is Wontons, chicken, pork, shrimp, and vegetables. It’s pretty good but pricey at $14. I used my Coast points to cover the price and came back to Paris to wrap up my night at 3am.

Total win/loss for the day $0
Total comps for the day $174
