Azima's Abrasince January, 2007. The film footage was taken by Kit Goodwin during a visit to the home of the late Barbara Azan, owner of Azima Turkish Angoras. How was identification of Abra made? Well, we ALL knew ABRA! She was one of Barb's older girls and was one of her favorites. Identification was agreed upon by Angela Manookian, Sue Howland, and Kit Goodwin, as we all knew and loved this little smoke girl! Abra was also documented in Barb's photo files on her computer and in her Picasa albums. Below are two of those pictures. Abra, photographed by Barb Azan at her house on 04-11-2006. Abra, photographed by Barb Azan at her house on 12-11-2005. (Dates of photos are based on forensic evidence in Barb's computer and may be the date the photo was taken or the date the photo was uploaded.) When Abra moved to Sue's home she was quite pregnant. Two kittens were born on December 5, 2008. The breeding that produced them was recorded in a log that Barbara kept on her computer desktop. This log told us conclusively that the kittens were sired by Azima Lord Byron. This also made sense because at the time Azima Lord Byron was the only viable adult male in the household. The resulting kittens, Azima Az-Miras and Azima Little Legacy, were registered with Barb as the breeder. Abra, photographed by Sue Howland at her house on 08-24-2009.
