We were up early again this morning. Lindsey slept well once again. She would not take a bottle last night but had eaten dinner so we put her to bed. She did take a large bottle this morning so Steve and I felt better about her eating.
Today we visited the Buddhist Temple in Fuzhou, a tea factory, and the Panda Zoo. The Buddha temple was very pretty...
![]() Lots of shade and we were able to go inside it and see the monks. We were not allowed to take photos inside any temple. We were able to walk across a very pretty bridge with lots of fish and turtles swimming below. Steve and I talked about how Jesse would love this place. The buildings were so beautiful and all built by hand. All the temple is built out of wood so the city worries about fire as many Chinese buildings have been destroyed by fire. We went to a small street that sold tea and were able to sample some and watch it being made. I HATE tea but tried all four kinds. It was interesting to see but we did not purchase any. Our last stop was the Panda Zoo. We were able to see two male pandas who were in cages next to each other. One of them came out and had some fruit in the tree right in front of us...
![]() On a hill in another part of the zoo was a large female panda, and there was also a panda called "Grandpa Panda," per our guide. He is over 100 panda years-old, about 20 human years. It was getting very hot so we headed back to the hotel. Lindsey was very tired and also hungry...
![]() She would not eat much lunch or take a bottle. She took a glass of papaya juice and some soup broth after Steve spoon-fed it to her. She is just figuring out that the spoon goes in your mouth. She has not gotten that concept quite yet. Oh!... and she likes whipped cream we found out. We are off to the orphanage very early in the morning and it is an all-day trip so we may not post again until Thursday. We are having fun but anxious to get home as well.
