July 19th, 2007
I am updating from HOME!!!! We left Guangzhou on July 19th at 8:20am and arrived in Portland at 8:20 July 19th!!!! We flew from Guangzhou, China to Toyko, Japan, then Tokyo to Portland, and Portland to Anchorage. Lindsey slept a total of maybe 3 1/2 hours the ENTIRE time. It was a long flight INDEED. I felt bad for Steve because Lindsey wanted him the entire flight from Tokyo to Portland.

We left the White Swan hotel at 5:30am and arrived at the airport to check in. The other family was flying to Hong Kong and departing at the same time. Our guide was running back and forth to help both of us. Steve and I checked in by ourselves and it went well as the agents spoke great English. We got through customs just fine and after security we bought some water for Lindsey's bottle. We were not allowed to take it on the plane. That was frustrating. Lindsey decided to do her daily poop as we were boarding. It is a good thing I can change a diaper fast . There were a lot of adoptive families on the first flight. From Tokyo to Portland we were the only adoptive family. Lindsey did really well on that flight. She slept about one hour.

From Portland to Anchorage our flight was delayed about 30 minutes. Lindsey was a mini star on that flight. It was funny to me that I have become the one that everyone asks questions to about China and adoptive babies. Lindsey was awake most of that flight. I got to change her again in the bathroom . I was telling Steve that she pooped twice in one day and then Steve reminded me that it was 9:00am in China. She was sticking with her schedule!!! She did not sleep in her crib last night and she kept waking up. She ended up sleeping with me. She is having some issues with the time change but that is to be expected.
