GOTCHA DAY
We arrived in Fuzhou at 2:15pm on July 8th. The flight was very interesting. The plane was fine but there were obviously some very important Chinese men in front of us. One man did not want to put his bag in the overhead so they just let him leave it in front of him. Also, I have never seen so many flight attendant call buttons go off on one flight. It happens occasionally flying in state but it happened a lot on this flight. We bumped into Shirley who is adopting a little girl from Lindsey's orphanage and we flew to Fuzhou together. Her daughter is Lillie Mei.

Our guide is Katherine. She is wonderful and very knowledgeable. We did a speedy shopping trip for water when we got to Fuzhou and then arrived at the hotel at 4:00pm. The babies were in the hotel at that time on the 3rd floor, we were told. We went to our hotel room, dropped our bags, grabbed our passports and cameras, and off we went.

When we walked into the conference room Lindsey was sitting with a nanny, as was Lillie Mei...

We received Lindsey and she did not cry she just was checking us out. Sitting at the table signing our papers, Lindsey loved to throw her rattle on the floor so we could pick it up again. That was fun.

The issues we are having are getting Lindsey to eat. Her diet is rice cereal and fish soup! She does not like the formula we brought. Thank goodness I am a nurse and not a new mom. I brought syringes and Lindsey is getting fluids!! We will ask the nannies for suggestions later.

Lindsey went to bed at 9:00pm and woke up at 5:00am. NOT BAD!!! She did cry a bit, though. We even got her to smile!!!!!!
