June 2006:
We received our passports.

July 2006:
Application to adopt sent to ASIA, our adoption agency, and accepted.

July-September 2006:

• We completed our homestudy and sent our documents to ASIA as part of our dossier (we still needed to send them another document).
• Today is my birthday (September 22nd) and we went to get fingerprinted. I think we got fingerprinted 3 times.
• Our 1-600A was sent to the Department of Homeland Security.

November 2006:
Our I-171H came in the mail. It was sent to ASIA but our documents did not come back from getting authenticated until December.

December 2006:

• E-mail from ASIA on the 22nd stating we were Dossier to China (DTC).
• ASIA gets a waiting child list and on December 27th - we find Lindsey.

January 29th, 2007:

• We are logged into the system at the CCAA (China Center of Adoption Affairs), also known as our LID.
• We now have to send our Letter of Intent to adopt a special needs child off to China and have our dossier pulled to the special needs section.
• We are still waiting for word on our LOA (Letter of Acceptance) which is the final hurdle before we travel to bring Lindsey home.

May 16th, 2007:

• It is with great excitement that we announce we received our Letter of Approval today! Today is also Lindsey's first birthday!! Now we are just waiting on our TA (Travel Approval).

June 13th, 2007:

• Our travel approval (TA) arrived at our agency in Portland.

June 14th, 2007:

• We received our travel approval!!
