being a man part II

I performed two vasectomies yesterday and have to say it was a much better experience than my first exposure as a medical student (see old blog "be a man" part1). The men said they didn't feel any pain and would recommend it to their friends. interesting.

What I didn't like about yesterday's clinic were the follow-ups. Basically I did sperm counts on men status-post vasectomies. Sorry, but I had to hold my breath while putting the specimens on slides.

shopping for the lil one

My in-laws came to visit this past weekend and bought us our crib set and playard. These things are expensive! Luckily, we are saving money on the whole since our friends--whose baby is now 14 months--let us borrow their crib, stroller, bouncer, &swing, and they have given us tons of clothes.

We are still undecided on a name.

new interns

so far i like all the new interns. july 1st was the first day for interns all over the nation. there was a little chaos in clinic, but we survived. a lot of us even got a 3 day weekend.
