Preface

As I researched info for my own site, I've run across many a website that provides information of one type or another about Macs, networking, or products that would be of interest to networking people. For people who need a good starting point for general interest Mac links, check out the Apple Evangelist web site.

Macintosh networking sites

  • MacWindows - This site is dedicated to providing info and news for people looking to integrate the Mac OS and Windows.
  • Networking 101 - The section of the Networkable Mac Games website that specifically addresses hooking up your systems.
  • One Mac to one PC - This site talks about hooking up Macs and PCs, with a primary focus on game playing.

  • Apple - Developers of the AppleTalk protocol and lots of related software, as well as hardware servers, hubs, and peripherals.
  • Asante - Offers a wide variety of networking software and hardware.
  • COPS - Makers of CopsTalk, a Windows AppleTalk client.
  • Dayna - Offers a wide variety of networking software and hardware.
  • Farallon - Offers a wide variety of networking software and hardware, including PhoneNet adapters.
  • ProSoft Engineering - Has taken over development of the Mac Novell Netware client from Novell. They support it, as well as sell the client on-line.
  • Tut Systems' Silver Streak - An Ethernet system designed to run across standard phone line.
  • Sonic Systems - Offers a wide variety of networking products and hardware.
  • The ARC - The Apple Resource Center, which sells a number of parts for Macs, including networking stuff.
