~Called Home To Be With The Lord 7/14/00~
It is with the greatest sadness and sense of loss,
not only to myself, but to our wonderful family and friends that I
share with you the following news.
C.C. Crawford passed away Friday, 7/14/00, at 6:50
p.m. He fought a valiant battle and savored every moment with his
family and friends surrounding him in the love he helped create with
this family.
His mother was with there with us and his daughters
from California were also there. His son and new
daughter-in-law, my son and his fiancée, my daughter and her
husband along with my parents, my brother and many many friends and
other family that came to see him today.
I have a feeling the plan is not all played out yet. I know that today
was so perfectly orchestrated by the Father even down to the rainbow
that shown over the San Diego baseball stadium during the Mariner's
away game shortly after. They said it was so strange, because
conditions were such that nothing should have warranted a rainbow but
there it was, the announcers mentioned not once but twice. Cees so
loved his baseball and especially the Mariner's.....he would
call his mom after each game and they would talk about the terrible or
extraordinary plays......it was almost like he maybe dropped in for the
game before completing his journey home.
We so appreciate all of your prayers and love this
past 15 months... His fight is finally over, his reward is finally
granted....and we can go forward knowing that he is finally free of
this horrible disease.
Although Cees has lost the battle he has won the victory! He is home
with the Lord and cancer free! We, his family, are taking it one day at
a time. We still know God is watching us through all of this, not just
from a distance, He's right here with us. Sometimes even holding us up
when it's too difficult to stand on our own. We will continue to keep
looking up and out into that distance, holding on to the hope and
promise that the rainbows in these pages hold. That through faith and
trust in Him, we will get through this! We have that victory!
