If I toke a bowl or two, then go to bed a little while later high, will I be stoned in my dream?

oh yeah... there was this time i think i had lucid dream... i remeber i was in a class and looking at super realistic classmates... den i return to my seat behind and look at my hands.. den i look at the teacher and tried to make the teacher fly but i failed...

yesterday i think i had another as well... but this one dun feel like lucid... i dream i was toking to this japanese idol i think and i think MAYBE i actually controlled myself to kiss her and felt her lips and stuff.... the rest are a blur... not as clear as my other dream i mention(which actually happened after i read ur stupendous topic).. only the kissing part... i only remember the other part are quite pleasant...

Also, another question I want to ask is...

Right before I am about to fall asleep, sometimes I think about like... Walking along a curb on the side of a road, or walking by some stairs, and all of a sudden, I will think about tripping, and falling down, and then my body will jolt as soon as I "hit" the ground... Why is that?

Would that mean I am close to LDing?

I almost had one once, when I was about 12. I was in this building, in a long concrete hallway. A long line of people were standing there, and my Dad was up front. He was telling them about something and demonstrating something. I jumped out of line and ran up to him, only to see him run down this endless spiral staircase that was hanging by ropes from the ceiling. He disappeared into the mist at the bottom, and I started to go down the stairs, but they were too wobbly, and I jumped back onto solid ground. Just as I stared down the pit, tears welling, I felt my Dad's hand on my back. As I turned around to see him smiling at me. I said, "This....this isn't real is it?". He let out a small laugh and said, "Nope!". Then he hugged me and dashed down the stairs again. Then I woke up....I was crying.

Does anyone experience the inability to move or see sometimes in dreams? I'm talking about dreams in general, even those of non-lucidity (partly to the fact that I can't really lucid dream yet). I'll be dreaming (oblivious to it being a dream) and I'll discover that I don't have the energy to walk and I just collapse and I can't get up until I wake up. Sometimes I'll be looking around and all of a sudden everything that was normally vivid will be bleary and it'll eventually lead to my eyes really hurting and me being unable to open them to see.

It's really weird... any tips how I can overcome this? I haven't had a dream like these in a while, but if it's still in my head, is there a way I can train my body to act normally (so I can at least dream) in dreams?

Right before I am about to fall asleep, sometimes I think about like... Walking along a curb on the side of a road, or walking by some stairs, and all of a sudden, I will think about tripping, and falling down, and then my body will jolt as soon as I "hit" the ground... Why is that?

Happened to me too, but only when I was little. I was like rock climbing somewhere, but on like the side of a building. Blue. With ridges jutting out in a pattern. Kind of like the blue disney castle thingy (could that be it?). I wasn't alone, yet I don't think the ppl I was with were anyone I knew. Anyway, I fell, had the feeling of slowing down as I nearly hit the ground, then "jolt" when I do, waking up. It's not really a jolt though, it felt more like a bunch of pressure on my chest (mostly). Like something pushing down then letting off. A very solid thing I know always happens. Another time I remember was with stairs that had no guardrails for some reason. I knew it was a dream, I knew I didn't want to go near the edge, yet I ended up falling off...

As for being 'lucids', I have felt a "I can't die when I hit the ground, because I just know that stupid pressure thing ^^ is going to happen.".

I have also felt that while in a dream, I can try to walk, ride a bike, anything, and I feel like I have no balance. No matter how many times I try, I'm always leaning towards the same side, and yet without falling. Like taking a turn on a bike. Just held in place. The other oddity is elevation. I've had things like the ramps in my school (for handicaps) that go to the 2nd floor be incredibly steep. I wonder why...

Last, the lucids I've had were useless. Not true lucids. I may have known I was awake, but couldn't change what was happening, what I would do. I'm pretty sure it was 3rd person, yet it may have been 1st at the same time. The clearest one (in 3rd) involved me standing in the kitchen, having the wall explode, and a bunch of small dog-sized, black/yellow spiders come out. Weird.

I might consider the dream journal. It'd be pretty weird to explain tho. I'll try the clocks and hands, those sound useful. The subliminal thing seems like it'd be a waste of time. I doubt it's effective. The 'don't-move-a-muscle' going to sleep thing DOES seem like it just might be possible. Thanks for the tips and wish me luck!

Wouldn't it be cool if there was such a thing as being able to link dreams with someone else? ^_^

Anyway to the guy that talked about changing into a girl. My first lucid dream I changed into something small such as a rabbit with ease. I actually turned into a rabbit, cause I needed speed to get away from some damn fast nightmarish monster. Now when I tried the whole opposite sex ordeal, I went to a mirror, and tried my hardest to think I was the opposite sex. I got a funny feeling, and my dream started to fade. I just couldn't get the picture into my head, so I just stopped trying.

Well thanks kuja, you made bedtime fun ^_^ lol.

I have occasional dreams where I have trouble moving, but not recently...recently, I have been able to fly and stuff ^_^

If anybody who wants an example of a dream journal, I can post a couple of my dreams...I've recorded about 150 since last year sometime. I started it on my own, too, before I even knew about LD. Now I can do it without trying, on some dreams anyway...

Im riding a bike and then i fall off and wake up in my bed with a jolt and it almost feels like i dropped onto my bed from my ceiling.

The only times I sort of had a lucid dream they lasted less than 5 seconds. The first I was in a roller coaster, then I thought "Wait there aren't any roller coasters in this lil island" then I flew off the little car, fell for 1 second and woke up. The second was a few days ago. In the dream I was just walking around down a street, I said "But wait I'm..." and then woke up. I know kinda pathetic.

I don't think this is working for me. My heartbeat keeps distracting me and waking me up.
It probably doesn't help that we were studying Edgar Allan Poe books before Christmas break, either. Not that I murdered anyone, or buried them under my floor.
