Couldn't you only see things you that you've seen in real life? Or do you see what your mind perceives it to look like.

Is keeping a dream journal necessary for LDing? I started one today, or is it a waste of my time?

Everytime I know I'm in a dream, I can't even stand up in my dream. I get up, then fall down... it's as if I don't have any leg mucsels. And is there anyway to reduce the chance of nightmares? I always have some kind of zombie attack, shadow monster, or stuff like that practicly every day.

And can you explain this to me?

I was dreaming of a halloween night. People were running around and doing crazy stuff, and I happened to cross a street only to fall down. Then a car comes, and its tires run over my chest. I wake up, with my chest hurting. What the heck happened?!

And I managed to get some kind of "reset" or "pause" thing down in my dreams. I gained these abilitys mostly because I have alot of nightmares. And use them when Im surrounded, or about to get caught by someone or something. Some times, I purpossly peeve (cant swear) off the person chasing me. Then I pause, and reset or wake up. I can't explain on how I can do that, but I can...

I like to break the rules in my dreams. I once felt like I was becoming a 100% in control in my dream I started destroying everything in my dream. Everything looked clear somewhat. I was flying into walls and shooting stuff out my hand but then I started to feel weird. That's when I started fighting me or something that looked like me. All I know was it was good and I was evil. The fight was beyond imaginable. I was doing alot of fighting in the air and crashing into buildings until something happened. I beat the good me and then my body froze up. It got dark and I woke up. The funny thing is I could feel everything in my dream but not the good me I was fighting.

I have been reading this as sort of a culmination to a day-long look at the paranormal board and stuff in general, and I am finding lots of this to be useful. I am gonna start a dream journal tonight, but I do have a few questions:

1. When i daydream i usually am doing it to music, and with my short attention span when the music stops I will switch focus to another daydream. Could this tamper with me lucid dreaming so that i am only envisioning dreams for three to five minutes apiece or to music?

2. If I stop the subliminal message thing by right-clicking to read what it actually says, can i ruin its effect? Also, what is the best way to view it? Should I stare at a spot or be trying to catch words?

3. I get the whole looking at your hands and spinning thing, but if you do it in real life can it screw you up in a lucid dream if you do it?

4. Also, and this isn't as important, what are some good websites for reality checks?

Thank you very much :).

Spinning is good... Because usually like the jump forward with your stomach above the floor and see if you float trick... if you do it you are usually dreaming anyways lol..... Try it alone if you really wnat to.... Looking at your hands in real life is good... and can be used as an emergency reality check.

Lord Charmander45 maybe it's because your thinking you want to fly. In the dream world it's different. There are no rules. Don't think you can fly know you can fly.

Have you ever changed your looks or clothing. Lets say you create a outfit. The more you imagine and use that outfit in your dream the more it will just be on you when you dream with out thinking of it.(With my suit the upper part is tight that looks like leather and a skirt like lower part) Its kind of like the suit pinhead wears on the Hellraiser movie but it's just not ugly.

Can you explain to me how the dream journal will help enhance the probability of having lucid dreams?
And is there anything specific way to watch the subliminal messaging thing?

Writing in the dream jornoul helps with dream recall cause who cares if you did it but can't remember anything about it. Also it helps you to regognize specific aspects of the dream and GREATLY helps you tell the difference between the dream world and the waking world through dream signs and abnormalties. Its important to be very details and maybe bullet things you remember to be most effective. Also sometimes its important to do it so you just didn't dream that you had the dream.

PS. When waking up from a dream to write in the dream journal be sure to do a reality check... you'd be surprized how many false awakenings happen when you expect to write din a dream diary.

Okay, advice here.
1. If you sleepwalk/eat/kill people, just shut the door and close the windows. Just make sure , if you're going to fly, blast a hole in the roof, and don't go through the window.

I toss and turn a lot in my sleep, but, as far as I know, I've never had any sleepwalking incidents. Will the tossing and turning disrupt lucid dreaming or make it difficult/impossible?

It shouldn't effect it that much you are probably tossing and turning in half-sleep or another low level of sleep or a deep level anyways it shouldn't happen during REM because that is when sleep parasis takes its strongest hold. I wouldn't worry aobut it.... Also most of the time it happens whether you try or not just having the knowledge of knowing how to do it often helps when you notice soemthing out of place when in other dreams if you did not know these things about lucid dreamING you might pass off things like me saying HAAABBAAAALLLAA LOOO WHOOOPPDEEEEDOOOO as something I always do and nothing out of the ordinary.

HABAALLAAADOOO WHOOOPPDDDYYYY DOOOOO\

creepy.... isn't it?

Okay, I had my first FULL lucid dream three nights ago. Im just wondering if this is how it is supposed to go:

In my normal dream Im saying maybe I should go to sleep cuz i have to go to school, but let me check the clock. I look at the clock, it's 1600 ZL. I look again (which has become a habit in real life, not for lucid dreaming though) and it is 2100 PO or something. Im like WHOA! IM DREAMING!

Then it turned first person and it got strange. Everything was fuzzy like. It felt like I was walking through half water half fog. Everything was slightly blurry, I felt as if the room was only lit up by candles. Now I have IRL fake Christmas candles in the windows, so it prolly came from that. I was really excited and I suddenly got kind of crazy and tried something strange. I made a hole in my ceiling to see the stars. I kind of felt that I couldnt control my thought, although I was in my body, knowing it was a dream. I looked up at the stars and I woke up.

IRL Im like WHOA! LUCKY ME! And I realize it is light out and I look at my clock (the one in the dream) twice to make sure it wasnt a fake awakening. It was 7:45 and I was late to school, so I would have gone back to sleep, but I didnt.

So, is that how im supposed to feel?
