Members of the 33rd that resided at
Jefferson Davis Soldiers Home at Beauvoir in Biloxi, MS

The Jefferson Davis Soldiers Home opened at Beauvoir in 1903 for Confederate veterans, along with their wives, widows, servants and orphans. During its 54 year existence, the facility cared for approximately 1800 individuals. Almost half of those residents are buried in the Confederate Cemetery on the property.
