Blended Mask without the Blending Tag
Written and Created by Debbie "Debz" Coates

What you need for this tutorial:
1. PSP 7 (This was written using PSP 7, but I'm sure it can be modified for any version.)
2. 2 cooridnating bacgrounds, flood fills, or patterns.
3. Mask
4. Frame of your choice
5. Tube of your choice

STEP 1
Open the patterns, tube, frame, and mask in PSP, minimize for now.

STEP 2
Open a new transparent image 399 X 400. Flood fill with the pattern, fill, gradient you chose for your first fill.

STEP 3
Add a new raster layer, flood fill with your second choice. This is your mask layer.

STEP 4
To apply your mask, go to Mask > New > From Image. Make sure that Invert mask data is checked. In the pull down menu that says This Window, click the arrow and look for 009.msk. Then click OK. Then go to Mask > Delete. Hit yes when prompted. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible.

STEP 5
Pull up your frame. Select your magic wand tool and click in the middle of it. Selections > Modify > Expand 1. Add a new raster layer.
*Note, you don't have to use a frame, it can be left plain and you can use accents and such :)

STEP 6
Ctrl + C on your masked image, then click on your frame. Ctrl + Shift + L to paste into current selection. Selections > None.

STEP 7
In the layer palette, move the frame layer to the top. Add your tube and you're done!

That's it! You can dress it up how you want. Hope you enjoyed this tut and I hope you found it easy.
