Written and Created by Debbie "Debz" Coates
What you need for this tutorial:
PSP 7 (this was written for this version, but I'm sure you can use any version)
Blade Pro or Super Blade Pro (I'm using Super Blade Pro for this tutorial)
Simple Filters Zoom Out and Flip
Any image of your choice
A template - Download here. These are all borrowed...but I don't know who created them. Put these in your tubes folder.
STEP ONE
Open a new transparent image 400x400 (we will resize later). Click on your tubes tool and find the template of your choice. Click on the tool options and resize to 50.
STEP TWO
Put your cursor on your transparent image at 200,200 and place your template. You will notice it has a black and white border. Click on your magic wand and hold shift, click on both white areas. Go to Effects > Plugins > Flaming Pear > Blade Pro or Super Blade Pro. I like choosing a preset that will accent the pic I've chosen to use. Apply your preset. Selections > None.
STEP THREE
Take your wand again, and click in the center of the template. Selections > Modify > Expand 2. Make the image you have chosen active and hold CTRL and hit C to copy it. Go back to your template and hold CTRL and SHIFT and hit L to paste it inside your template. Leave selected.
STEP FOUR
Go to Selections > Float. Now Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout and use these settings:
V & H 2
Opacity 65
Blur 5
Shadow Color Black
OK
Keep selected and go back to Cutout only this time change the V & H to Negative 2 (-2). Selections > None.
STEP FIVE
Take your wand again and click on the black area between where you applied the preset. Selections > Modify > Expand 1. Now go to Effects > Simple Filters > Zoom Out and Flip. Keep selected. Go to Effects > Texture Effects > Mosaic Antique and use these settings:
Number of Columns 50
Number of Rows 50
Symmetric checked
Tile Opacity 50
Grout Width 2
Grout Opacity 50
OK
Leave selected.
STEP SIX
Go to Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel and apply these settings:
Keep selected.
STEP SEVEN
Selections > Float. Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout. Apply the same settings as above and then do it again with the V & H at Negative 2 (-2). Selections > None.
That's it!! Dress it up how ever you like and then resize it. Here's mine!
Hope you enjoyed this tut and I hope you found it easy.
