Smoke Look Tag Background
Written and Created by Debbie "Debz" Coates

What you need for this tutorial:
1. PSP 7 (This was written using PSP 7, but I'm sure it can be modified for any version.)
2. Smoke mask - download here
3. Gradient of your choice
4. Tubes you want to use

STEP 1
Open a new transparent image 400 X 400 (I like having a big work space and you can always resize). Flood fill with your gradient. Now go to Effects > Noise > Add with these settings: Noise 5% - Uniform This makes your gradients nice and smooth :)

STEP 2
Masks > View Mask. Masks > Load from disk find the mask titled smoke.msk. Apply it. Masks > Delete hit Yes when prompted.

STEP 3
Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow with these settings: V&H 0 Opacity 45 Blur 5.7 Color black Fill with color unchecked

STEP 4
Add your tubes and apply the same drop shadow to each tube. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible.

STEP 5
Click on your Crop tool - Now go to your tools options and click crop settings. Then click Select opaque area - current layer

Now hit ok. Go back to the tools options and click crop image. Now your image is cropped

STEP 6
You may choose to resize your image. If you do, go to Effects > Sharpen > Sharpen. Layers > Merge > Merge all (flatten).

That's it! Hope you found this tutorial fun and easy. Here's my results!
