Murray State coach Matt McMahon started the following lineup; 6-5 Jr. Gee McGhee, 6-4 Sr. Jeffery Moss, 6-7 Sr. Wayne Langston, 6-0 Jr. Bryce Jones, and 6-4 Jr. Damarcus Croaker.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Dan McHale countered with 6-7 Sr. Jarelle Reischel, 6-5 Jr. Javontae Hawkins, 6-9 Fr. Nick Mayo, 6-1 So. Paul Jackson, and 6-2 Jr. Isaac McGlone.

 

Justin Seymour hit a three point basket with 22 seconds left in the game to give Murray State what proved to be the winning basket in a 75-71 victory over Eastern Kentucky University.  The score was tied 10 times and there were nine lead changes in this game.  Murray State shot 47.2% from the field including nine of 20 from the three point line.  The Racers connected on 16 of 21 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 12 Eastern Kentucky University turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 54.5% from the field including seven of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 16 of 18 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 14 Murray State turnovers.

 

Wayne Langston led Murray State with 18 points and eight rebounds.  Damarcus Croaker also scored 18 points including three three point baskets.  6-3 Jr. Justin Seymour recorded 12 points on four three point baskets.  Gee McGhee chipped in with 11 points, five rebounds, and five assists.  Bryce Jones added nine points and eight assists.  Jeffery Moss recorded seven points, six rebounds, and three assists.

 

Nick Mayo led Eastern Kentucky University with 22 points.  Jarelle Reischel added 21 points including three three point baskets.  Javontae Hawkins recorded 15 points including eight of eight free throws.  Paul Jackson chipped in with 10 points, five rebounds, and 10 assists.  Isaac McGlone pulled down seven rebounds.

Eastern Kentucky University shot 45.8% from the field including six of 23 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 23 of 32 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 11 Tennessee Tech turnovers.  Tennessee Tech shot 46% from the field including eight of 22 from beyond the arc.  They connected on 23 of 31 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 16 points off eight Eastern Kentucky University turnovers.

 

Torrance Rowe led Tennessee Tech with 24 points including four three point baskets and five assists.  Aleksa Jugovic added 24 points including two three point baskets and four assists.  Ryan Martin recorded 15 points and nine rebounds.  6-1 Jr. Hakeem Rogers chipped in with 12 points and five rebounds.  Anthony Morse pulled down 10 rebounds

 

Jarelle Reischel led Eastern Kentucky with 25 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.  Javontae Hawkins added 22 points including 11 of 14 free throws and five rebounds.  Nick Mayo recorded 20 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Mayo was seven of nine from the fields including one of one from beyond the arc, and five of five from the free throw line.

Eastern Kentucky University coach Dan McHale started the following lineup: 6-7 So. Greg King, 6-5 Jr. Javontae Hawkins, 6-9 Fr. Nick Mayo, 6-1 So. Paul Jackson, and 6-2 Jr. Isaac McGlone.  West Virginia coach Bob Huggins countered with 6-7 Jr. Jonathan Holton, 6-8 Fr. Esa Ahmad, 6-9 Jr. Devin Williams, 6-2 So. Jevon Carter, and 6-3 So. Daxter Miles Jr.

 

West Virginia raced out to a 50-22 halftime lead on their way to an 84-59 victory over Eastern Kentucky University.  Western Kentucky shot 49.2% from the field including 10 of 24 from the three point line.  The Mountaineers connected on 16 of 25 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 18 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  The Mountaineers held a 26-7 advantage in second chance points.  Eastern Kentucky shot 48.8% from the field including nine of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 10 of 23 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 10 West Virginia turnovers.

 

6-2 Sr. Jaysean Paige led West Virginia with 17 points including four three point baskets and five rebounds.  Devin Williams added 15 points and eight rebounds.  Daxter Miles Jr. recorded 12 points, three rebounds, and three assists.  Jevon Carter chipped in with 11 points including three three point baskets.

 

Javontae Hawkins led Eastern Kentucky with 16 points including three three point baskets and four rebounds.  6-4 Jr. Jaylen Babb-Harrison added 15 points including three three point baskets.  Nick Mayo recorded nine points and six rebounds.  Greg King chipped in with seven points and six rebounds.
