Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Jalen O’Bannon, 5-10 Jr. Michaela Hunter, 6-1 Sr. Miranda Maples, 5-5 Jr. Mariah Massengill, and 5-7 Fr. Jada Triplett.  Tennessee State coach Larry Joe Inman countered with 6-0 Jr. Jayda Johnson, 6-0 Jr. I’mani Davis, 6-1 Fr. Jordan Brightwell, 5-5 Jr. Maxine Beard, and 5-7 Sr. Brianna Lawrence.

 

Eastern Kentucky trailed 57-45 after three quarters but rallied in the final quarter to earn a 70-66 victory over Tennessee State.  There were five ties and two lead changes in this game.  Eastern Kentucky shot 44.4% from the field including five of 17 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 17 of 25 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 14 Tennessee State turnovers.  Tennessee State shot 41.5% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Tigers connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 19 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky only led for 2:18 seconds of the game.

 

Jalen O’Bannon led Eastern Kentucky with 25 points, 13 rebounds, and two steals.  5-10 Sr. Shameekia Murray added 14 points and three steals.  5-11 Fr. Abby Wright recorded 12 points on four three point baskets and four rebounds. 

 

Jayda Johnson led Tennessee State with 23 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists.  Jordan Brightwell added 14 points and six rebounds.  I’mani Davis recorded 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists, four blocked shots, and three steals.

Michaela Hunter hit a three point basket to give Eastern Kentucky the lead for good in a 100-93 overtime victory over Morehead State.  The score was tied six times and there were six lead changes in the game.  Eastern Kentucky shot 48.8% from the field including nine of 19 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 13 of 17 free throws, pulled down 50 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 21 Morehead State turnovers.  Morehead State shot 45.6% from the field including seven of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 24 Morehead State turnovers.

 

5-10 Jr. Michaela Hunter led six Colonels in double figures with 23 points including four three point baskets, seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals.  5-10 Sr. Shameekia Murray added 19 points and three rebounds.  Jalen O’Bannon recorded 18 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, four blocked shots, and five steals.  Mariah Massengill chipped in with 12 points, six rebounds, and seven assists.  Miranda Maples added 12 points and six rebounds.  Alexus Cooper also reached double figures with 10 points and four assists.

 

Brianna McQueen led Morehead State with 21 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, six assists, and three steals.  Miranda Crockett added 17 points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Eriel McKee recorded 15 points, nine rebounds, and three steals.  Natalie Greenwell chipped in with 13 points, five rebounds, and five assists.  5-8 Jr. Aaliyah Wells added 11 points and Shay Steele also reached double figures with 10 points, four rebounds, and four steals.  6-2 So. Brooke Todd added four points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Shameekia Murray, 5-10 Jr. Michaela Hunter, 6-1 Sr. Miranda Maples. 5-5 Jr. Mariah Massengill, and 5-8 Jr. Alexus Cooper.  Austin Peay coach David Midlick countered with 5-10 Sr. Symantha Norton, 5-10 Sr. Sydney Gooch, 5-11 Jr. Beth Rates, 5-7 Sr. Tiasha Gray, and 5-8 So. Falon Baker.

 

Austin Peay outscored Eastern Kentucky 30-10 in the second quarter on their way to a 94-66 victory.  Austin Peay shot 53.3% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line.  The Governors connected on 26 of 38 free throws, pulled down 48 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 13 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 36.4% from the field including five of 28 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 14 Austin Peay turnovers.

 

Tiasha Gray led Austin Peay with 21 points including nine of 10 free throws, five rebounds, and 10 assists.  5-7 So. Madison Rich added 18 points including three three point baskets.  6-2 Jr. Tearra Banks chipped in with 16 points.  Sydney Gooch recorded 14 points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots.

 

6-1 Jr. Jalen O’Bannon led Eastern Kentucky with 19 points and 10 rebounds.  Michaela Hunter added 14 points, six rebounds, and four assists.  5-11 Fr. Abby Wright recorded 11 points and five rebounds.
