Eastern Kentucky University coach Dan McHale started the following lineup: 6-7 Sr. Jarelle Reischel, 6-5 Jr. Javontae Hawkins, 6-9 Fr. Nick Mayo, 6-1 So. Paul Jackson, and 6-2 Jr. Isaac McGlone.  SIUE coach Jon Harris countered with 6-6 So. Keenan Simmons, 6-4 Fr. Carlos Anderson, 6-10 Gr. Yemi Makanjuola, 5-7 So. CJ Carr, and 6-4 Jr. Burak Eslik.

SIUE finished the game on a 5-0 run in the last 70 seconds to defeat Eastern Kentucky University by a score of 67-65.  Eastern Kentucky’s Jarelle Reischel missed a three point attempt at the buzzer for the win.  The score was tied 11 times and there were 12 lead changes in the game.  SIUE shot 40% from the field including six of 18 from the three point line.  They connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 18 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 44.4% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 22 of 28 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 19 SIUE turnovers.

Burak Eslik led SIUE with 21 points including 10 of 10 free throws.  Carlos Anderson added 18 points and nine rebounds.  CJ Carr recorded eight points and six assists.  6-6 Sr. Jake Newton also scored eight points.  Yemi Makanjuola added seven points and six rebounds.

Nick Mayo led Eastern Kentucky University with 28 points.  Jarelle Reischel added 12 points and five rebounds.  Javontae Hawkins chipped in with 10 points.  Paul Jackson recorded eight points, seven assists, and three steals.
