And the Rain Came Down
We walked a short distance
from the coach to the first outcrop. Each group walked to a different
place so we weren't all in each others' way. As Jane spoke to us, the
rain really began to hammer down. I put my waterproof hood up under my
hard hat to stop the rain trickling down my neck. Things were getting
a bit miserable and we had only been out ten minutes.
We were trying to take dip
and strike readings and note down the results, but the minute we opened
our notebooks, the rain made them almost unuseable. Pencils wouldn't write,
just tearing the paper and I began wondering if we were going to call
it a day. No such luck.
