Whin Sill at High Force

Of all the days, this one was, for me, the most spectacular, simply because High Force waterfall was so impressive.

We went down this little path and then sat and sketched the rocks around the waterfall. Drawing rocks is nice because it gives you a reason to just sit and look at something carefully.

The weather was fine and sunny - the midges were out in abundance. I put on both insect repellent and sun cream and was therefore surrounded by confused midges, attracted by the smell of the sun cream and repelled by the smell of the insect repellent. Well, it worked. I didn't get burned or bitten.
