Constipation:

A rabbit that, in spite of the conscientious care of its owner, takes too much of one type of food or too little of another can become constipated. Constipation means that the waste materials of digestion are not expelled from the body at frequent and regular intervals. Too much dry food and too little green food can, among other things, cause constipation. In a case of constipation, dry food should be temporarily removed from the diet and replaced with extra green food, especially that with a laxative effect (but nothing too watery-it will have the opposite effect). A teaspoonful of mineral oil often helps. In serious cases a little soap solution introduced to the anus by means of a syringe is helpful.
