Now, I
know what your thinking "But we already
have neggsweeper tips!" I know, Whorat
beat me to the punch and you think you can
get by from what he said. Well, I'm here
to say that you can maybe beat every other
easy game with those tips, but there is
much more strategy involved than what he
mentioned and I would like to say all I
can on that subject. While I'm at it, I've
decided to give advice on other money
matters in general.
First
of all, my pics may be simple but it's all
I knew how to do. Second, most of this
article is going to be what you see, and
what you then know. O means a Negg, X is a
trap, S is a safe Negg, and numbers are
the numbers you will see. I hope you know
the rules or have seen Whorat's article
because I won't go over those. This is for
people who plan to play a lot, not the
casual gamer. Now that the intro is over,
the most important method of finding
traps: lowering numbers.
Lowering
numbers is when you ignore flagged traps
and mentally lower the numbers around
them. For example:
O2
O2
O4
=
O3
O4
X
O3
Then
you would employ the simplest pattern
possible: the three. Any three along a
wall (a row of Neggs without any corners)
means the Neggs by it will all be
traps.
O2
X2
O3
=
X3
O3
X3
Therefore:
O2
X2
O4
=
X4
O4
X
X4X
Beginning
to get the idea? It gets harder. What if
you get a two? Or a one? that's where the
patterns come in. I'm sorry to say I only
really know wall patterns so far, but
these are extremely helpful. First,
121.
O1
X1
O2
=
S2
O1
X1
This
pattern is repeatable so 1212121 follows
the same way. Next is a very similar but
practically opposite pattern.
O1
S1
O2
=
X2
02
X2
O1
S1
Mixing
these up can be fatal, so make sure to
lower numbers and double check before
uncovering a Negg Sometimes there's just
the same number in a row. 3 is easy, 2 and
1 are much harder. 2s make a pattern of
SXXSXX. 1s make a pattern of SSXSSX. The
problem is finding out where they start
and end. For instance:
01
S1
S1
X1
01
X1
S1
S1
01
=
S1
OR
X1
OR

Now
I'll finish this part of the article by
asking for you to send in your patterns by
Neomailing me. I am hoping to write a
second article next week with these
submissions. For now your "homework"

Find
the traps (don't worry about the two along
the bottom right wall).
