The girls of High Harmonies Katy, Brandi, Cheryl, Kimberly, and Chelsea have just arrived home to their apt. in New York City, that they have shared since they relocated from their homes in Missouri, from their joint tour with N Sync.

"Man, I'm BEAT!!!" Kimber sighed as shee pulled her last suitcase in the apartment door. "Me too!!" Katy excalimed as she threw herself onto her bottom bunk of the bunk-beds her and Cheryl both shared. It was 11 o'clock at night, and the girls had just started getting ready for bed. They each took out their suitcases and dug through the endless piles of clothes in order to find their sleepwear. Upon finding the pajamas, the girls each took turns in the two bathrooms that were shared to get ready for bed. "Has anyone seen my toothbrush? I can't find it anywhere," Brandi asked her partners in crime. "Awww man!!" the girls had heard Chelsea screach from the bathroom. "What's wrong, Chels?" Kim asked. Everyone stared at Chelsea to see what was the matter. From the bathroom, Chelsea started, "Is your toothbrush an Oral-B and have blue rubber grips on it?" "Yeah, so?" Brandi curiously asked. Chelsea soon emerged from the bathroom, mouth full of toothpaste, and holding out the foam-coated toothbrush. "Here ya go," Chelsea timidly said as she placed Brandi's newly discovered toothbrush in her hand. The other girls couldn't help but laugh. "That's not funny!" Brandi said as she threw her now tainted toothbrush halfway across the room. Soon the girls were ready for bed, and Brandi had managed to calm down and find herself a spare toothbrush. "Goodnight everyone," Katy told everyone as her and Cheryl headed off for the room that they both shared. It didn't take long for everyone to get settled in and to fall asleep. In a matter of minutes, the whole apartment was silent. Only the sounds of the refrigerator running in the kitchen and the radios softly being played for background music in each of the bedrooms could be heard.

A kitchen with a refrigerator and a microwave, a countertop, and of course, a stove and an oven began at thThe apartment that High Harmonies occupied was that of a regular apartment; nothing fancy or special about it. It was just a typical large 17th floor apartment in a New York City apartment building. Inside the apartment, there were 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 bathrooms, all connected by a wide hallway. The other end of the hallway. Off of the kitchen, the living room and dining room began. The girls had arranged for a big-screen television set to be delivered the next day. They had always wanted a big- screen tv to watch movies on when they had the free time to do it. The dining room was right next to the kitchen. Although they had no dining room set, there were just 2 recliners and a coffee table infront of a big picture window that viewed over a few buildings of New York City. Despite who the girls were and everything, very seldom were they bombarded by fans and neighbors. They went about their business, and that was that. When they had to be at an interview, they either took a cab, or took turns carpooling in one of their cars. Abruptly, the phone began to ring. It just happened that Kimberly was the first one to stagger sleepily to pick up the phone in the kitchen. "Hello?" she groggily asked. "Hey, Kimbo! How's it going?" the voice on the other line inquired. "Who's this?" Kim asked, as tired as ever, and not in the mood for any late- night games. "It's me, Lance," Lance said matter-of-factly. "And Chris!" Chris hollered as hyper and cheerily as ever. A bit disturbed by their late night call, Kim answered in a tired and sarcastic tone, "Oh joy, the spice boys have decided to grace us with their phone call." "What's wrong?" Lance questioned. "Do you two numb-nuts have any idea what time it is?" Kimberly asked. Joey, who was on the other line as well, looked at the clock in their California hotel room and said, "I recon it's two past nine." Kimberly, who was now confused, stood in the kitchen scratching her head. "No, you tools. It's 12:02 in the goddamn morning!" "Uh oh, we're in Cali," Justin said, knowing that they were all in trouble. He turned to the guys to remind them that New York was 3 hours ahead in time from where they were. Kimber heard footsteps coming down the all, so she turned to see who it was. It was Cheryl, wearing her flannel pajamas and a black t-shirt. "Who's that at this hour?" Cheryl asked, as furious as ever. Kim rolled her eyes. "The animals we spent 3 months on tour with." Pissed because she got woken up from a good Chris dream, Cheryl was very angry. "You gotta be kidding me. Why are they calling so friggen late?" "Your guess is as good as mine," Kimber said. "Give me the phone," Cheryl demanded, as she ripped it out of Kim's hand. Kimberly backed away in fear of getting hurt. Flustered from the awakening call, Cheryl began talking into the phone. "What in the hell is the big idea of calling so late? Don't you people know what time it is?" By now, all four guys (JC is already cuddled up in bed starting on his beauty rest) realing the time difference, were sorry that they had called so late. "We're sorry, bu--" Joey got cut off. "But nothing!!!!!!" Cheryl roared. "There is no excuse for this horse shit! Either call at normal people hours, or don't call at all!" At that, Cheryl slammed the phone down, stormed down the hall, crawled to her top bunk, and layed awake in her bed. Just then, she heard Katy get up from her bed right below, and walk out to the kitchen, where Kim stood there in awe of what had just happened. "What was that all about?" Katy asked in amazement. "I heard everything from my room!" "I dunno why, but Cheryl just got in to a really pissy mood, told the guys off, hung up on them, and stomed off to bed. Strange." "Yes, very," Katy agreed. "Let's call them back at home." "They weren't in Orlando, they were calling from somewhere in California." "Well, that's no problem, just push *69!" Katy said with a sinister look on her face. "Very funny!" Kim said, as she picked up the phone and began dialing. "What da dilly yo?" answered the voice on the other end. No thought had to be put into this. It had to be Justin. Kim couldn't help but laugh. "Hey, man! Look, sorry about what just happened." "Man! What did they give that girl to eat on the plane? Something musta crawled up her and died!" Justin said, not understanding what was wrong with Cheryl. Katy ventured into the living room to pick up the portable phone. "Hey Justin, it's Katy." "Oh, hey. Since y'all left us, your name is all we've been hearing from Lance. 'Katy this, Katy that...' Lance would say. Katy EVERYTHING!!! Oh, speaking of the devil, here he is." "Hey babe!" Lance exclaimed. "Hey hun, I miss ya big time!" Katy said. "I miss you, too." "What are y'all doing in California?" Katy asked. "We decided that we needed a vacation, so we're staying in a quiet little town in a small hotel," Lance informed her. "It's awfully lonely out here though, and the guys have been driving me absolutely crazy!" "Yeah, that'll happen," Katy said, wishing she could be with Lance right now. "Hey, I, well, actually WE have good news for you girls!" Lance said cheerily. "We got a call this morning from Johnny, and he said that MTV wants to book us for sometime at the end of this week for some new show of theirs. We'll be in New York for three days." "That's great!" Katy screamed. Just then, Chelsea came out of her room to see what all the noise was for. "The guys are coming to New York for three days at the end of this week sometime!" Katy announced to her Chelsea and Kimber. "Maybe in our free time y'all could show us around, if y'all don't mind." "Oh, that would be no problem what so ever! See you then, and give the rest of the guys our best!" "Bye hun," Lance said as he hung up the phone. At that, Chelsea, Katy, and Kimberly went back to their rooms to get a good night's rest. Lance turned to tell the guys that the girls would be happy to show them around and to spend time with eachother. All were happy, with the exception of Chris. He sat alone in the corner of the hotel room wearing a melancholic look on his face. "What's wrong with Chris?" JC asked as he awoke from his cherished sleep. "I don't think Cheryl likes me anymore," Chris began. "Aww, man, don't take it personally. I'm sure she was just in a bad mood," Joey said trying to comfort his friend. JC, confused about the whole thing, layed down and went back to sleep. "I just wanted to know how her arm was. That's all. And I miss her like crazy. I guess I'm just afraid she'll forget about me," Chris said in a depressed voice, as his eyes began to well up with water. He walked over to the bathroom, and shut the door behind him. The rest of the guys left Chris and JC's room and went back to their own hotel rooms.
