"Oh great! Just fucking great!" Kim yelled as she stomped on the floor. It was only noon time. The girls had 4 lonely quiet hours on their hands before they would be recieving any positive company.
Justin was right. It was only a 10-15 minute ride from their house to the girls' condo. They all piled out of Justin and Joey's cars and went inside. "Want some lunch?" Joey asked. "I hear airplane food can be pretty disgusting." "No thanks," the rest replied. "Did I hear lunch?" JC screamed from upstairs. Joey just rolled his eyes. "I wasn't talking to you. Get your own!" JC came bolting down the stairs. "What's up, y'all? Welcome to Orlando!" "Thanks," everyone answered. "I have messages for you," JC told Justin and Joey. "Lance said he was going to the store, not mentioning which one, where, and for how long, but he's gone to the store. And Chris said he had some errands to run. Nor did he say where he was going, or for how long he would be gone. They must be preparing for tonight. I'll be right back," JC said as he headed for the door. "I have to pick up something for Kim, I mean, the house." "Ooooooh!!!" Everyone groaned after JC's mistake. JC turned red, and left the house. "I guess we won't be seeing him for a while," Brandi said. "I didn't think he liked Kimber anymore. What's going on with that?" "No one really knows," Justin began. "He's said some stuff about her, like he wonder's what she's doing and if she's happy. Ya know, stuff like that. Living with him, you can really tell that he misses her." "I know what you mean," Chelsea chimed in. "You should hear Katy talk about Lance. We thought she'd never shutup. She misses him a lot. "Yeah, a lot," Joyce trailed off, deep in thought about Justin. He was so cute leaning up against the kitchen counter. He was tapping his fingers to some rythmic beat that she couldn't quite make out. The more of Justin that she saw, the more Joyce wanted to spend time with him.
One hour later, the girls were calming down. They were almost all unpacked and almost thinking about relaxing. "Do you think we should call Lynn?" Katy asked. All 3 girls thought for a moment. "Listen," Cheryl said stearnly. "We can't go calling Lynn every time a mouse farts. Nothing big happened. No one was hurt, no one was killed. That's the important thing. Let's just chill. We're gonna have some fun in a couple hours, so let's just focus on that." "If we live that long," Kim thought. Lance drove around the parking lot several times before he could find a decent parking spot. He didn't realize how crowded these shopping plazas were on weekdays. Lance was looking for the perfect "Welcome to Orlando" present for Katy. He really didn't have anything in mind, so it would take him time to pick out something. The first little store he walked into was called "The Snowglass Factory". It was a store with all different kinds of crystals and hand-crafted pieces. This store, he thought, was bound to have something that he would like to give to Katy. He strolled over to the display case in the back of the store where something caught his eye. It was a little wooden box that played music when it was opened. Lance opened it, and when the music started to play it reminded him of Katy. He had to get it for her. Five minutes later, Lance walked out of the store with the little wooden box. "This needs something else," he thought to himself. Being the southern gentleman, Lance knew just what would top this off. He fled into the jewlry store, and found the gold, heart-shaped lockets. He would put the locket into the box. It was a perfect gift for the perfect girl. Lance hoped Katy would like it.
JC was starting his day out similar to that of Lance's. However, JC found a parking space right away. He shut the car door, and jogged across the street to the card store. This couldn't be overdone, or too mushy, he thought. It would have to be subtle, considering the situation. "God, I hate picking out cards," he said to himself quietly. "You can never find the perfect one." Continuing on his quest to pick out the perfect card, JC stopped into the other card store that was just a block down on Sunset Blvd. Maybe he would have better luck there, and he did. It turned out that he found the almost-perfect card after searching for a good ten minutes. It read: ‘For a special friend- Thinking of you all the time and sending special thanks for your very special gift of friendship. Miss You.' He took out a pen and signed it. The card, JC thought, would be just enough. He didn't want to over-do it. He returned home twenty minutes later to an almost quiet house. A radio could be heard upstairs. "Lance! Is that you up there?" JC asked. No answer. JC walked up the stairs and down the hall. All of a sudden, the bathroom door came flying open, and out came Chris with a towel, and only a towel wrapped around his waste. "AHHHH!!!" they both screamed at eachother. "Damn you, don't scare me like that!" Chris said, trying to catch his breath. "Me scare you?!?!?" JC said with astonishment. "You scared me." "Well, whatever," Chris said. "I'm done in the bathroom." He walked up closer to JC. "When's the last time you showered? You smell. Bathe, and do us all a favor." JC just shook his head and walked into his room. "Hey Chris?" "What?" "Why is there a giant pineapple on my bed with a dozen roses?" JC asked. "Oh! I put those there. I wanted your opinion on something." "Yeah....?" "Well," Chris cleared his throat. "That's my suprise for Cheryl. Do you think she'll like it? I don't think she's into all that really gooshy sentimental shhii.... stuff." "So you bought her a giant pineapple?" JC questioned. "Is it a magic pineapple?" Chris hit JC over the head with a rolled-up newspaper. "You just don't get it, do you? I use my smooth sense of humor with a touch of my sentimental side to get closer with the girl that means the most to me. And ya know, kinky things can happen with fruit..." But before Chris could explain anymore, JC walked over to his dresser, picked out a nicely cleaned and folded pair of underwear and bolted for the bathroom.
Meanwhile, the girls were still back at the apartment. It was 2:30, and they had started to get ready for 4 o'clock. The others would be coming back shortly. Katy was the last one in the shower, and by the time she got out, it was nearly 3 o'clock. "Anyone hungry?" Kim asked. "Yeah, but it's too bad we don't have any food in the house," Cheryl reminded them. A minute later, Katy heard a knock on the door. "Hey girls, open up, it's us!" Katy could tell that it was Brandi's voice. "Ok, hold on, let me find the key!" Katy shouted from inside the apartment. It took her a couple minutes to remember where she had put the key, but she found it. Before opening the door, Katy looked out the hole in the door, but she didn't see anyone. "Hmmm," she thought as she opened the door. No one was there. "Ok, jokes over. I'm shutting the door now. You can all just stay out there for all I care!" With that, Katy shut the door again. Expecting another knock at the door, she got a piercing loud, painful scream from the hallway...
