Chapter 25

They all arrived at Kim's room in style, and sure enough, JC was found right at her side. It was so sweet just to see a guy who was as crazy in love as he was about a girl just sitting there watching her sleep. "Company!" exclaimed Joey, as they all moved closer to the bed. Beside him was Chels, with their arms interlocked.

All Kim could do was smile. All her friends were there and that's all that mattered. Even though Brandi wasn't there, she was only in the room down the hall, but it still made Kim feel good. "You don't know how happy this makes me. Y'all are here, and that's all I need." Everyone smiled and gave her a hug.

"Welcome back," said Katy, with a warm smile. With all this going on, Justin had managed to sneak out for a couple minutes and went down the hall to see Brandi.

"I'm sorry, ma'am," said Justin as he walked into the room where Brandi had been staying, "but I must have the wrong room, for I don't think someone as beautiful as you would want the likes of me in your room."

"Oh get in here!" said Brandi, as happy as ever. They both ran towards eachother and kissed. Neither of them wanted to pull away, so they were still kissing when they heard a knock on the door. They both turned around.

"Hey, cuz!" Brandi yelled, running towards Cheryl. "So I see you two kind of found eachother, huh?" "Yeah, well ya know..." Justin rambled on. "Well Chris and I are gonna go now. We've already visited with Kim, said our good-bye's so we're gonna go now. Would you two like to come with us?" Cheryl asked, as Chris came up behind her.

Justin looked at Brandi and Brandi looked at Justin, and then nodded in agreement. "But wait," Brandi said. "What do you mean by ‘Kim's room'? Is she in the hospital too or something?" "Ok, well get Brandi's stuff and meet us down stairs in the lobby, then we can go." said Chris. "Yeah," said Justin, "we'll explain everything in the car."

"We have an announcement to make," said JC, grinning practically from ear to ear. They both paused for a second. "Well what is it?" Katy asked. "Neither one of you are dying, are you?" Lance asked with a serious look on his face. JC just looked at everyone and said, "Kim and I are getting married." Everyone just stood still and didn't say anything. Chelsea was the first one to break the silence. "Oh my God that's great!" "Congratulations!" everyone else chimed in. "When's the big day?" Joey asked. "Well, we haven't exactly figured that out yet, but we know we're going to Hawaii for our honeymoon!" JC answered. "And tomorrow, as soon as Kim gets out of here, we're gonna start making serious plans. We're gonna need lots of help..."

Everyone would be glad to help two of their best friends plan their wedding.

Chris, Cheryl, Brandi, and Justin were all in Cheryl's car heading back to the guy's house, and were in the middle of explaining to Brandi what had happened while she was at the hospital.

"So then Lynn found Kim tied to a tree or something in the woods off the side of some road with her legs all cut up and stuff like that," said Justin from the back seat.

"Then Lynn had taken the keys to James' car before he got out of the woods, and when he came out of the woods looking for his keys, she knew it was James who was behind the whole thing," Chris said, also from the back seat.

"James?" Brandi questioned. "But he was the nicest man, I can't believe he would do such an awful thing."

"Oh there's more," said Cheryl, as she drove down the highway off ramp. "He's the one who started writing those letters to us again."

"But why Kim, why did he do that to Kim and not you, Katy, or Chelsea?" Brandi asked her cousin.

"Apparently when y'all were on tour last year, your tourbus ran over some little girl chasing you girls, and she somehow accidently got ran over, and her father, who turned out to be James, said that Kim was his daughter's favorite member, so that's how that connection got established," Justin cut in.

"But I never heard of our bus running over anyone, especially a little girl," Brandi said, a little bit puzzled. "Well there are some things that management tells us and there are those things that management doesn't tell us- obvously," said Cheryl.
